Marvel All New, All Different - Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

i hope he stays dead for at least two years...

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Obviously 90% of any comic book deaths are temporary, but this one... whoo... I just hpoe it's a good story. Replacing Peter with Otto made for a damn good two year long story.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Personally I think they'll attempt to do a Superior type thing where he will be dead until the next X-Men movie of course (since this will be happening after "X-Men: Days of Future Past) will be "X-Men: Apocalypse" in 2016. So whatever happens Logan will be back before then.

This is supposed to be part of their greater overall plans that have started since Age of Ultron/Marvel Now.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

I quit reading wolverine when his kid took over.

Never found a good jumping back on point since then.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Paul Cornell's "Wolverine" has been quite good. It started off slowly as Cornell was getting used to writing the character, but it's evolved since then and become pretty awesome. To me it is on par with his Lex Luthor character study in "Action Comics". He has been re-examining what it means for Logan to be Wolverine.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Why is the Punisher wearing a mask?

The line between him and a cape just got thinner.

Is it because the bad guys are using poison gas or is he changing his modus operandi?

Yes, it's so the girl cop won't recognize him and they can continue their flirting, but that's an out of story answer and not an in story answer.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

I never really cared for Wolverine as a solo character. He works best on a team bouncing off other heroes. He's in a particularly interesting place now that he's a Schoolmaster!

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

^ He's actually not any more as of Cornell's Wolverine and the second volume of Wolverine and the X-Men. He's evvvvvvvvvvillll.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Then why is the title of the series still "Wolverine and the X-Men"?

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

The second volume of Wolverine and the X-Men is a "summer semester" volume. I've not yet read it but as I understand it Logan leaves the Headmasters position and gives full authority of the school to Ororo.

Wolverine #1 and #2 (Second Volume of Cornell's run) have mentioned that he's been gone now several months as he's adapting to his new life.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

There's a former mutant in She-Hulk... "I used to be an X-Man, went to the School and everything, I had weather powers, like Storm, except not so much, my superhero name was Drizzle."

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

How did Wolvie loose his healing power and what mag did this happen in?

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Paul Cornell's "Wolverine". Specifically during the "Killable" arc. He lost the healing factor due to a
sentient virus

This has all been set up for the eventual "Death of Wolverine" event, or whatever they end up actually calling it in Sep.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Another Spider-Event already? Hasn't "Superior Spider-Man" basically been one single two year long event, and now Peter's return is another event?
