Marvel All New, All Different - Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

Technically, all the Olympians are evil space based gods right now (it was a horrendous storyline and ruined the Marvel Universe version of the Olympians in my opinion), so Hercules has even more reason to be in space.
Well, that sounds awful.

Whole thing looks a bit grim to be honest.

I thought we'd dodged a bullet when the infinity warp characters didn't reappear.

Consider the source.

The source are the actual comics, that I read, and it was even brought back up in the current GotG run. You being snotty doesn't change the facts, which are:

Basically, all the Olympians were killed by an evil Goddess called Nyx, but because they can't be permanently killed (it has to do with their myths being fundamental parts of reality or something) they were resurrected in the "space beyond space", and since then have tried to kill at least one space based team, I think in the GotG run before this one, but its been a year or two since it happened. I don't quite remember what their new attitude is/goals are, but they are definitely bad guys right now, generally speaking, and they got stupid new "space" designs that I think look pretty crappy.

This is an actual thing that happened, in a mini event/series called Avengers: No Road Home, which also involved a bunch of other non-Olympian Avenger adventures (like Scarlet Witch meeting Conan the Barbarian).

In honor of the Predator coming to Marvel, they are going to be doing a series of variant covers with the Predator facing off against a character from the comic.
When I first saw the headline on the Marvel site, I thought it was going to be a comic with The Predator fighting the Marvel heroes, but this is still pretty cool.
The team behind the recent Shang-Chi miniseries is going to be getting their own ongoing series, Shang-Chi vs The Marvel Universe. I'm wondering if the vs The Marvel Universe part is going to stick around for the whole series or just the beginning, because that seems kind of limiting for an ongoing series.

I haven't read any of the Olympian stuff since, but I rather liked No Road Home.

We'll have to disagree on that one.

Anyone been following the Kindred arc in Spider Man ? I couldn't take any more and jumped six or seven issues to the end, and checking the Wikipedia entry, it doesn't look like I missed anything.

Am I the only one that found it both poor, boring and almost terminally spread out ?

And yet issue 60 was pretty damned good !

I'm apprehensively starting into King In Black. Reading Silver Surfer Black and going from there.

Any opinions ?

Marvel had announced that they will be releasing an LGBTQ+ issue of Marvel Voices, with Marvel Voices: Pride #1. It will be similar to their other Voices issues, with a collection of shorts focused on LGBTQ+ characters, from LGBTQ+ creators. The featured creators include Keiron Gillen, Olivier Coipel, Steve Orlando, Anthony Oliveira, Tini Howard, Vita Ayala, Kris Anka, Javier Garron, and some of the featured characters are Mystique and Destiny, Nico Minoru and Karolina Dean, Iceman, Daken, and Karma. Alan Heinberg and Jim Cheung will also be returning to Marvel for a new Wiccan and Hulkling story.

Marvel has announced a couple of fun sounding new non-comic books, William Shakespeare's Avengers: The Complete Works, and Doctor Strange: The Book of Vishanti.
The Avengers book is a retelling of the four Avengers movies in the style of Williams Shakespear, and is written by Ian Doescher, the same guy who wrote the William Shakespear's Star Wars books.
Here's how the official Marvel website describes it:
Marvel.com said:
William Shakespeare’s Avengers: The Complete Works reimagines all four films as plays by the Bard of Avon, complete with authentic meter and verse, stage directions, and entertaining Easter eggs. Fans will experience their favorite scenes, characters, and lines in a new—yet fully faithful—way, through monologues and dialogue by everyone from Captain America to Groot (’Tis I!).
The Book of Vishanti is a in-universe guide to the magical side of the Marvel Universe.
Here's how the official Marvel website describes it:
Marvel.com said:
The greatest source of magical knowledge in our dimension, the Book of the Vishanti is the ultimate collection of spells, history, and personal accounts recorded by practitioners over centuries, including notes from Doctor Strange himself. Featuring detailed inscriptions, mind-bending illustrations, and everything you need to know about the heroes, villains, artifacts, creatures, and worlds that make up the mystical and supernatural side of the Multiverse, this book is a must-have for all Marvel fans

Still enjoying King In Black. And some of the tie-ins (no, not the Black Knight - never the Black Knight !).

I can only blame my enjoyment on the inevitable age related decline in my cognitive faculties...

How would you rank it compared to the other events Marvel has done?
Hard to say, as I'm attributing my current feelings at least partially to "event fatigue". I'd probably have different perceptions if I'd read them in a different order.

I'm certainly liking it way more than the recent X of Swords. Bigger crossovers ? Better than Axis, Infinity, War of the Realms and Empyre. Not as good as Civil War, Secret Empire and probably even Civil War II.

Skipped King In Black. Not a fan of Venom.
Me neither, but...I quite liked it. Still haven't managed to read X of Swords though.

Anyone following the new Iron Man run ? I quite liked it at first, but it really has gone steadily down hill...

I've only even really liked Venom in his first few appearances. King in Black is pretty good though. I've only read the core mini and a couple of tie-ins.

At this point I've dropped all the X-Men stuff except SWORD, even though I can read them all for "free" via Marvel Unlimited. They're all just a slog to get through.

Shame about Iron Man. I've like what I've read of the series so far.

Right now I'd say Immortal Hulk and Strange Academy are the two books at Marvel I'm enjoying the most.
