Marvel All New, All Different - Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

I also got that feeling after reading the first issue but decided to give the second issue a go anyways. It still feels the same after the second issue and it is doubtful that I will continue to pick it up. It's a shame too because I used to really like Doctor Strange back in the 80s and really wanted to like this series. I did like the banter and interaction between Strange and the new girl though.
It was ok. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. It had some interesting ideas (I liked his armoury) and I liked the idea that Hercules is trying to adapt to the modern world on a continuous basis. I might give the second issue a chance, but I really don't see this as a title I'll continue to pick up.
I also read [Extra]ordinary X-men last night and was kind of underwhelmed. The only thing that sort of saved it for me was Old Man Logan at the end, which is the only reason I picked it up in the first place. Now that I know an Old Man Logan series is coming in the new year I don't see much reason to continue with this series. I was also slightly confused by all the references to the bad shit cyclops did. Granted I have not been following X-Men at all but I wish it had been explained a little more. I have yet to read Uncanny X-Men #600. Does that make what Cyclops did any clearer?
Back when they started promoting all of the new post-SW series they announced that he's switching sides over to the Inhumans in one of the new Inhumans books.
I have to admit that I have absolute zero interest in any of the new X-books. I have no interest in the new status quo. They just did "No More Mutants" and it got really old the first time. Also, I'm sick of Cyclops being shat upon. The events of the last few years, the schisms and the accusations and the character assassinations, have really brought me to the point that the only X-Man that I still actually care about is Kitty... and she's out in space!

But yes, I totally swore at the comicbook, about there being "no new mutant births" since the Terrigen bomb blew up (2 years ago? Infinity #3 came out in November 2013 according to comic.org, but that's a cover date, and that shit is weird, and should be fixed, if it hasn't already.) was regurgitive.
And is working for the Inhumans the same as turning to the Darkside?
Henry's Secret Plan to save Mutants should be to reverse terrigenisis, or suck all the terrigen on Earth and blow it at the moon. The best way to save the Mutants legacy, will most unboudtedly involve doing something awful to Inhumanity, and where else best to do that than within the walls of New Attilan?
If Henry can anticipate when his hands will be drenched in the blood of innocents, do you think he considers shaving his hands before the slaughter to help with the cleap up?

And then another 8 months after Secret Wars.
The bomb created a city sized cloud (stormfront) that is rolling across the planet.
1. Direct exposure to the cloud, has no effect on humans, terrigenisisizes Inhumans, and sterilizes Mutants while effecting allergic reactions to varying degrees depending on the Mutant, and the density of ambient terrigen in the local atmosphere, which again varies due to weather, climate and location.
2. There wasn't "Ambient terrigen" in the atmosphere before the bomb went off. Currently there's "almost" enough ambient terrigen to "sometimes" kick start terrigenisis, but that "maybe" and "sometimes" are going to eventually change into a "certainty" as ambient terrigen levels continue to rise.
3. There's a point that ambient levels of terrigen will rise high enough to kill all mutants, and force terrigenisis on all Inhumans, even those physically unready or unwilling to go through the change. Yes I am all talking about terrigenisiszing foetuses accidentally murdering their mothers as they change shape and mass inside their mothers, or start firing death beams.

If "Doctor Strange" has felt slow it's perhaps similar to his first volume of "Thor" the God Bomb arc which ran for an entire volume and was very slow burn and methodical. It's probably the same vibe Jason Aaron is going with "Doctor Strange".
I read about that, but unlike the same thing happening with Avengers Vs. Infinity this week Marvel chose to do nothing about it.
Which means it gets relegated to the Trade Wait pile.
Slow burn was detected so I passed. Decompressed stories just work better in trade than monthly.
I haven't read an Avengers comic in almost 20 years but I really used to love them so I decided to pick up The All-New, All-Different Avengers and I read it over the weekend. It wasn't bad. I'll probably pick up the next issue. I also picked up The Ultimates because I love Kenneth Rocafort's art and found it pretty entertaining. How long has the character Blue Marvel been around? He seems like an interesting character.
Blue Marvel is a fairly new character (last 10yrs?) who came on the scene about the time they were done using Sentry I feel like. I'm sure Sentry will be back one day when a writer feels they want to but I digress.

Adam(BM) has had his story retconned so that it can exists along more Silver Age and earlier stories. His heroics were top secret and what not cause the world wasn't ready for a black superhero...or something like that. My memory is a bit fuzzy but he and Luke Cage and some words over it, Cage calling him out for not being more Progressive when he could've been.

Remember what you thunk of Russia during the 60s through 80s (even if you we'ren't completely alive to see some of it.) that they were an unstoppable killing machine who could march across the world and take the White House for an outhouse?
Then in the 90s it was was revealed that %85 Russia was poor, hungry and mostly the person on the street still thought that it was effectively 1958?
Had the American public been aware of how feeble the USSR really was in the 1970s come 80s, would they have halved their defense budget to look after America a little better, investing in infrastructure or education, or actually with a factual account of the state of the enemy thought "Hey we could actually get them easy, it'd be a cake walk, half their ICBMs are made from old pinball parts. Fuck it, lets get 'em"?

^^ Unfortunately, the state of Russia was well-known when I was a teenager. That didn't stop the Right-Wingnuts from propagandizing, or Reagan from taking credit for Gorbachev's achievements.
