Martok the Changeling

This came up a while back. Someone attributed this to the probability that the Martok changeling was a far more experienced and stronger shapeshifter.

What's funny, in a ridiculous way, is that Odo said that he (the changeling) had no idea of what "honor" meant and that's how he was able to spot him.

Seriously, how can someone live among Klingons for so long and have no idea what Klingon honor means? which is a word that the average klingon uses about a thousand times a day!

It would be like pretending to be a christian and never having heard of Jesus.

Arrogance. This version of Martok only blended in, he didn't embrace the Klingon way of life. I just wonder how the changeling interacted with other members of his house.

Plus didn't Martok have a wife? How would that have gone over in the bedroom? The female changeling had to be taught by Odo's limited experience about how "solids" express their love. Who taught this one?

On the other hand the real Martok said to Sisko that his wife didn't share his bed as often as he'd like (something tells me that this was an understatement) , so maybe she's a changeling too.

One might consider who Worf decided to get the general's attention shortly after arriving on DS9. Beating up and taking his son's blade. That Martok went to retrieve it...that was suppose to be the changling, correct?

One might consider who Worf decided to get the general's attention shortly after arriving on DS9. Beating up and taking his son's blade. That Martok went to retrieve it...that was suppose to be the changling, correct?

Maybe the real Martok would have executed his son for being so much of a wimp as to complain to his father that a bully took his blade. If the klingons are anything like our spartans then he likely would. A spartan legend says that a mother stabbed her son to death because he was the only one to come back alive from a battle. She said something like: "If you are alive when your comrades are all dead then you must have fled the battle and deserve to die."
