Martha in the next specials?

Its weird isn't it, I actually quite enjoyed that episode, and think she's decidedly yummy (and can act with it!)

Nothing against Martha at all. I think her story has been told though and anything more than a guest appearance is fairly pointless.

Freema always appears just lovely and very generous with her time and willing to talk about anything in the various interviews/confidentials, etc. She's obviously very enthusiastic for the part.

I still don't quite get all the Martha hate. She was a good companion, but unfortunately she gets caught in the middle between Rose and Donna.

People have a bad habit of confusing an actor/actress with the lines they are given to read.

She couldn't read her lines well either. She came across as dead weight, half asleep and the lines weren't the only reason for that.

Agreed. A good actor can work with lesser material. I'm tired of hearing the defense that it was the writing. A good actor can make bad writing look good. A bad actor can ruin good writing.

I thought it was really obvious in the whole Stolen Earth thing. Rose and Martha seemed really unbearable on screen with Donna. The most cringeworthy delivery for me being Billie Pipers "You can't!" during the half regeneration.

Freema gave some really poor CBeebies level performances throughout as well, same with Torchwood.

Yeah, she is in my least favorite season of new Doctor Who, but I don't know if that's the writing or her.

her story is done, leave it be.
