Mars - One way...would you go?

Okay. At least you don't live in the north. You'd have to be nuts to have the garage separate from the house, imagine that.

yeah. you can thank my shop teacher for showing me how he did his house garage and it beats most garages you take your car too, much much smaller than the one I have in mind.

my shop teacher. high school mechanics teacher. He has his own personal garage is huge, bigger than alot of the garages you would normally bring your car to for maintennace.

In all fairness, there been a couple cases where homeless folks have figured out how to build a underground shelter that was surprisingly decent without too much effort. Happens all the freaking time (I am a planner by trade, and I know of at least three cases in my area, and we have 25k people) there is actually free publications (or nearly free) from the US government on how to build a sturdy underground shelter.

Same here. I wouldn't go. I just got married and she wouldn't go on a low orbit trip.

I love diggin holes, sounds stupid, but my idea of a fun day is just digging a big hole with a shovel.

Well, yeah. No kidding.

But who am I to judge?

Regarding the topic: Hell, no. I think Earth is a way more fun place to be than Mars. I also feel for Venus who people seem to disregard just because the weather sucks. :(

Under an existing structure?
Happened in the town I work in, guy dug under these folks house, even spliced in there cable and power and was watching TV underground. the homeowner when he found out was PEEVED needless to say.
With complete concrete (or cinder blocks) walls and floor, with HVAC, new wiring and scientific equipment to help one invent futuristic stuff, about the size of Jay Leno's private garage?

Of course I'd go.

From where else would one observe the earth-shattering kaboom?

thanks for the good luck. no seriously. I am going to be a mechanic. one of my core classes I have to learn is about eletrical and about micro-computers. I am still digging by myself. I would just love to dig a big hole.

There's a universe of difference between changing the timing belt on a modern day import and building an underground bunker.
