Mars Base Found on Google Mars

Mars base? Looks more like a clump of about 10 white pixels heavily compressed to JPG to me. Could just as easily be something quickly zipping past the lens as the shot was being taken, or an artifact from editing the pictures together.

It's interesting, but it could be anything. I do like how he automatically starts talking about it possibly being an alien waystation. Way to go for the logical conclusions first, guy.

There's a Google Mars?

My guess - either something added by a bored Google employee for a laugh, something added by google for copyright reasons (like trap streets on real maps), or viral marketing for Red Faction Armageddon (or Origins)

My guess is that it's some sunlit ice or frost in a roughly straight valley or riverbed, and that the posterization/low resolution of the image is making it look much straighter and sharper-edged than it really is.

It's the Face on Mars all over again -- it was only a trick of the sunlight combined with over-processing and over-enhancement of the image that made it look even remotely facelike (the "nostril" was actually a missing pixel, not a physical feature of the outcropping at all).

What about the Ass on Mars all the way on the other side of the planet?

It was obviously made by bigfoot:

"I hope it's not a weapon."

"Whoever put it there had a purpose."

"It appears fairly well maintained."

Fantastic. :rommie:

^ Yeah that guy sounds stupid in the video.

There is the image I took. 71°49'19.71"N 29°32'59.85"W
