March Challenge-The Vote

The story submission deadline is 31 March at 12am. The voting will commence on 1 April at 12:01am and end on 2 April at 12am. You may vote for your two favorites. The top vote getter will be the winner of the March challenge, and then have the honor of setting up a new challenge topic for April.

I want to thank everyone for their submissions and everyone else for reading and voting. Hopefully this was a pleasurable experience for all involved.

Two very strong entries I thought.

Gosh this is a difficult decision! They were all strong entries this month, I don't know how I'm going to narrow it down to two.

i voted for my own because Wazzo the fly, and the tribble Zubby, from my submission last month, both went on to become ICONS in the STAR TREK lore. I mean, gee, Kirk-Spock-Picard-Sisko-Wazzo? Can you feel it? Yeah..I can...

But I also liked Sniper because it was a little offbeat as well..great job by all. Definately better than most of the later versions of Star Trek!!!

Managed to make my choices!

I pick captcalhoun and Dnoth.

captcalhoun because I think his story answered the challenge the best - it was a really good description of how an alien might try to understand the sudden appearance of the Federation and Cardassians.

Dnoth because I love Mochana's determination to keep faith with the goodness of the universe against all examples to the contrary.

But it was a tight race! Mistral's brilliantly written story would have made the vote any other month.

Hey! Did I concede yet? I don't remember conceding! Its still early!(Silently pulls d'k tahg from sheath) I could still pull this out with a couple of late responders!(Glides quietly towards Dnoth...) Or something...unexpected could happen!(Carefully sets tip of blade to Dnoth's neck...) I mean, Dnoth might suddenly choose to bow out in my favor!(Pricks neck slightly and smiles in a feral fashion...) You never know what might occur! (Points out to Dnoth the extremely precarious position he's in...) I could still take this! I coulda been a contender! (Drops d'k tahg in defeat and weeps....)
