Here's my entry, barring any final tweaks... went for the change-an-episode approach. :D

Uh-oh... this one's cool, too.

You have to admit, you can see the Paramount merchandising executives taking advantage of this one. You could picture it as a toy by itself, or in a special release of the Barclay action figure. "Power Mad Barclay!" You can see the ad on Saturday morning TV now, one kid-hand holding the Barclay doll, and the other a Data doll, and they're going at it.

Assuming the directors of this episode handled the photography correctly, you could see it becoming an instantly recognizable prop. Not just a glove that happens to fit Dwight Schultz' arm, but something with just enough visual cues (like Locutus' eyepiece) to present it as a unique item. The ribbing gives it an identity; if it were just plain fabric, it might not stick in the viewer's mind. I'm curious, Klaus: How would the red, glassy part be handled? Would it glow? Would the FX team shoot sparks through it when he extended his arm?

Okay, now you've got me pondering the episode (which is what I intended): Does Barclay start building the Gauntlet before he gets his powers from Q? (If he had started the project in advance, that could speak volumes about his character.) Does he have enough time to beta-test the device? ("Oh, Deanna... I've been meaning to show you something...")

And personally, I think it would be a cool twist to the episode if Data didn't actually destroy the Gauntlet. So when he gives that last line, maybe he's not telling the truth, and the viewer kinda knows it.

I'd think this would fetch more than $7,500, easily.

It's a riff on the Infinity Gauntlet from Marvel's classic miniseries of the same name...

Apparently I know less about the Marvel universe than I thought I did. Nice artwork though!
