Manolo Blahniks!

Less talk, more shoe porn. Come on Holdfast, is that the best you can do? I prefer shoes that are a bit less art-museum and more menacing, myself.

Prada Florals - a totally visually-arresting quirky design:

Arresting, not quite. These are arresting!

From Louboutin, the Anemone, probably the prettiest & sexiest shoe with a bow ever:

Those are truly beautiful :adore:

My favorites at the moment, from my humble collection...

I like the detail on the back of the pink suede ones...

And, yes, every woman should have a pair of pink suede boots ~ even if you do only wear them once a year

I have to dash out right now, but I'll see what I can dig up later. :D

Love your pink suede boots, K. But I must confess that I have almost no suede of any kind. The problem is that I of course want to wear suede boots in the winter, and what with all the snow and random gunk you get around here in the winter on the road, in the parking lot and on the sidewalk...well, seeing what that does to suede is just too sad! I can't bear it. So I have pretty much given up on suede. I know, I know, but what's a gal to do? Is there anything a person can do with suede that will combat winter gunk or clean it off once it's acquired?

Signed,
Heartbroken in the Midwest

^ Thank you, they are only taken out on very special occasions :)

There is stuff you can use to protect suede, but it doesn't work ~ the only reliable protection is to take a cab :techman:

I'm going to hold you to this! I don't even like shopping for shoes that much, but I do like looking.

:D

How much some really unusual heel shapes from last year or two to keep you occupied? Not really my cup of tea, but interesting designs:

More from Prada:

"Blade" heels from Choo (the heel is more like a flat dagger blade than a conical shape):

And some reverse heels from Marc Jacobs:

Okay, I usually like Marc Jacobs but those shoes are just odd. :wtf:

Do a Google Image Search on "Marc Jacobs reverse heels" and you'll soon find most of that collection. Amusing little quirk. I rather like them, though not in every style. It's a fun little deconstructionist/surrealist touch.

I like them but they look like they'd be awful to actually wear. The blade heels intrigue me, however.

The blade heels intrigue me, however.

You just want to stab someone through the heart with them :D

I read a news article just the other day about some woman who stuck a stiletto through the eye of a guy and impaled his brain. Hell hath no fury.....

Imagine if she'd used the Anemone Louboutins from my first post in this thread? The heel would have gone right through the brain and out the other side. CSI would have a field day with that one. :)

In my big shoe-freak days, I tried on some Blahniks and was singularly unimpressed. I never got the hype. For the money, Gucci is still my favorite for comfort, durability and style. I have a pair of Gucci heels I've had for nearly ten years that look just as fabulous and up-to-date now as the day I bought them.

ETA I somehow missed the second, shoe-porn page of this thread! The Prada florals are wonderful, I love K'Ehleyr's pink boots, and I must have the Louboutin Anenome's just because I HAVE TO HAVE THEM. I'm pretty sure I'd hit six feet in those!

Death by Louboutins. I love it! :guffaw:
