Man kills himself during ''WATCHMEN''!

I know that suicide is often described as being selfish, but how self-absorbed do you have to be to insert this tragic event into so many people's lives?

Perhaps he wanted his death noticed but not seen and be near people, not alone when he died, but not put them in danger. Perhaps that how felt about the people in his life who were too selfabsorbed to notice he was in trouble and intervene.

It wasn't Alan Moore was it ? Sometimes the guy seems so uncomfortable with the idea of people actually liking his work, I had to check.
Naw! Alan Moore has said he wouldn't even wipe the crap off his 'bum' with the the dvd! I wish I could find that quote!:(

I have such a sick sense of humor because I chuckled when I saw that there were only 10 people in the theater.

Um
-5th weekend of release
-midnight showing

There is no funny. If it were opening week, yeah. Even second weekend.
No funny there but at least your self diagnosis is spot on.

I guess you won't be reading any of the other posts in this thread.

No, I did theirs were funny. Yours was an attempt at commentary on the films quality being why there were only 10 people in the theater without accounting for a)midnight show b) 5th weekend.

Jokes about it being long
Jokes about penis envy
Those are funny on general principles.

I actually quite enjoyed Watchmen and thought it was underrated. I just found is hilarious that the article goes out of its way to mention that there were only 10 people in the theater.

The number of people at the scene of the incident seems like a pretty standard detail in a news story to me...

One of the all-time selfish acts. I worry for those who might seriously look to the film itself as the cause of his suicide. Not personally accusing anyone here but, just the same, I thought I'd mention it. Movies don't make people kill themselves. Low self-esteem and stupidity do.

hmmmmm, gunfire in a room designed to contain and enhance sound waves...hope no one went deaf cause of this jackass

Who watches the Watchmen audience?

Maybe he just couldn't stand the thought that somewhere, Nixon remained President ...

The up side to all this is at least he won't be passing down his STUPID gene's to the next generation!:D

It wasn't that bad. I don't see how this could have seriously disrupted anyone's movie watching experience. One little pop and that was it, it's not like he got splatter on the screen. As jackass things to do im theaters go, this one is far less disruptive than most.
Now, reporting the body to the police before the end of the movie, that would be inconsiderate.

It's hard to think of a more inconsiderate suicide than this. Shooting yourself indoors alone is incredibly thoughtless... somebody has to clean your brains off the wall. This asshole has to upset other people in a dark theater. I always feel sympathy for the family and friends but I have none for this guy. I guess it's some consolation there were only 10 other patrons.

He could have done it on opening night, now that'd be inconsiderate though it might have raised interest in the movie I suppose.
