That's cute. She did indeed have some solid range. She split most of the voice work for guest characters on TAS with Nichelle Nichols and James Doohan and of course played Number One, Nurse Chapel, Lwaxana Troi, the computer on all six series, and Dr. Bellman on Earth: Final Conflict. Just within Ambassador Troi she showed her chops, but each of her other roles were obviously very different from that one.This is truly a sad day for those of us who saw Majel do a wide variety of characters. It brings to mind a novel by Christopher Bennett called "Deus Ex Machina." (If I got any of this wrong, let me know.)
Anyway, McCoy thinks he's alone in his quarters when he hears a female voice say something like "Doctor, you're needed in Sickbay. McCoy grumbles in response: "Computer off."
But the voice continued trying to get Bones out of bed. He looked up and there was Dr. Chapel, who had used a medical emergency code to get in those quarters.
"You think I sound like a computer?" Chapel replied.
