Chloe was a meteor freak, I thought that was clear. She spent more time surrounded by the stuff than almost anyone.

Brainiac's attack on her probably just overloaded her healing ability to the point where she can't use it anymore.

I was right according to Smallville wiki AY.

Chloe's healing factor had a remarkable impact on Brainiac. The machine's power reserves were severely depleted after he attacked Chloe at the Talon, as her ability to heal countered Brainiac's attempts to infect and render her comatose like he had done to Lana. After she recovered, Chloe has not successfully used her healing powers.[18]. She also didn't attempt to use it save to Jimmy in Doomsday, implying it is definitely gone.

I hope we hear AM has signed before the finale. I don't want to wait and then Chloe have a less than stellar send off.

Hey Buck, believe it or not, I'm viewing this news with caution, but I will be one happy camper if Ally does sign and returns next year.

Chloe has been the heart and soul of this show for so many of us, and if Season 10 is indeed the final year, then it would indeed be a shame to ruin that legacy by not having her in the final season.

So I guess we wait and hope (save for Othello!)

You guys know my feelings about Allison signing...I just have had this feeling for the entirety of the season that she won't be coming back or she will resign but have a limited amount of episodes like 13 or 17 similar to Erica Durance's contract.
 
I was wondering when we would see Procutus. ;)

I just have a fear that they will pull a dumb "Henry James Olson" move on Chloe...like she never existed in the first place.
 
Well Jetfire we know from "Legion" that they had no records of a Chloe Sullivan ever existing so perhaps with Watchtower being wiped out in the last episode...remember she told Tess that all of her work over the last few years had been would be wiped out if she pulled the cord.. If she dies next weekend perhaps this is the culmination of all of her machinations and schemes this season. Both Brian Peterson and Kelly Sounders stated that Chloe would pay the price for her schemes this season. I wouldn't call it a Jimmy Olsen I'd just say that it would be the ultimate consequence for some of her actions over the last year. She's isolated herself from everyone as Tess pointed out and probably done some funky computer hacking stuff on her identity...I just find it interesting that you would mention an intriguing thing like what happened with Olsen. I'm speculating of course.

That is what worries me and I really don't think the writers handle ending a character or taking them off the show with out killing them well...JK & Lionel were done ok-not the best I think, Lex & Lana were not...Jimmy big NOT. I would hate to see yet another character done wrong.

Hells look what they did to Starbuck transferring her into only a relatively larger pond.

Her character was so ass backwards on 24 that I finally noticed how large Katee's boobs were. They're massive! It's just fricking amazing what you can conceal with a colonial flakjacket-flightsuit and ten buckets of crazy.

Jet, believe it or not, I didn't see this thread until yesterday, due to my wife being in the hospital overnight. I'm just now catching up on some stuff.

I also share your concerns about them pulling a Jimmy on her character. I hope that's not the case. If it's some form of identity change that Chloe herself engineers to escape from the consequences of her actions... That might be interesting.

I am sorry to hear that, hope everything is ok. Unless they make Chloe into some sort of future superhero we are unaware of...I fear the worse. I really don't think her action have been that bad...I mean Clark has done worse this season and he gets a pass.
