Oh geez if he only appeared in one episode, probably why I never remembered at all.In the second-last episode, he discovered he had an adult son, Sean Angus "Sam" Malloy. Sam would be about 45 now.

She's both. To me anyway. She's a skilled computer expert, so she's got what it takes to be expanded into a full-on 21st century MacGyver.I dunno about "fascinating," but she is pretty nice to look at.
Yeah, I found that out after the premiere last week. I don't remember her from Supergirl.By the way, the actress was in a couple of Supergirl episodes last season as Maxwell Lord's assistant.
They most likely will if the show lasts but honestly, I'm not that keen on seeing him since it's not a continuation. Shipp on The Flash and Hatch on BSG are good comparisons but I don't feel the same way about RDA here. They could always bring him back as a different character.
Old MacGyver had a daughter? refresh my memory please.
Right. He didn't, not during the original series. I think the suggestion is that Riley is young enough that she could have been a daughter born sometime after the original series.
.And all I can say is, I’m not considering being a part of a project that has overlooked the insanely LOYAL FANS of the original character and has proceeded without considering how and why they all became and STAYED loyal fans…
Yes, I was asked, but no, I won’t be involved in the MacGyver reboot. I have tried to recognize that there really is a balance to be found here. Hence, my loyalty to my fans.
Anderson, Rick

Richard Dean Anderson doesn't want to be involved with the new show. http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/macgyver-cbs-reboot-richard-dean-anderson/

I was thinking the same thing too. Or have him as a recurring character like in the original. The Patricia Thornton character would be the extra gun when needed. If I could rework this show, I'd dump the "Jack Dalton" character and have it just be Mac in the field and Riley backing him up from HQ or from a nearby van or whatever.

Farewell Mac. Thanks for the memories. It was in the series finale (not counting the "lost episode" they aired a month after the show ended).
MacGyver given a full season.
How long before the Scorpion crossover episode?
Um, that was the XB-70 Valkryie. It's a real plane that was developed in the 60's. How they used it in the episode was ridiculous, but the aircraft is (was) real.I actually sat through an episode of that when they were onboard this funky looking plane with delta wings,
