And works WELLHey, it works for Chrisjen Avasarala on The Expanse.
After 30 years in and around military officers...........FUCK YEAH I DO
EDIT: Who the fuck over 10 says pottymouth?
1. Starfleet isn’t military, and I don’t recall any Starfleet officer in ENT, TOS, TNG, DS9, or VOY use the word ‘fuck’ in regular discourse.
Starfleet ain't even real and ENT, TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY were all on fucking broadcast networks and could not use the 7 words. People use curse words.......that will not change even in a Utopian future.
1: Can we not with the Starfleet isn't the military discussion. The reasons why they didn't use that word is fairly obvious to my mind.1. Starfleet isn’t military, and I don’t recall any Starfleet officer in ENT, TOS, TNG, DS9, or VOY use the word ‘fuck’ in regular discourse.
2. I used ‘pottymouth’ because that’s the nickname people on the internet have given Clancy.
I am quite calm--and you are right. It's NOT worth it. Does pointing out a fact make me unhinged somehow?Calm down, man. I know you're trying to make some silly point, but it's not worth it.

Yeah, but military officers won’t use them casually on duty most of the time.
Exactly.........You've never heard an Air Boss when the LSO tells him to put flight ops on hold.In a formal setting, no they don't curse.. much.. but informal? Fuck...
And these days, if you use a certain word that rhymes with bigger or another one that rhymes with maggot, the room will go silent and everyone's eyes will get big.
In the movie, the bleeps were there right from the beginning. I think they should have included the bleeps until after they saw the Terrance and Phillip movie. that would have made the swearing itself part of the joke.I recall being weirded out first time I saw South Park uncensored. It was cool at first, but pretty soon I realised I preferred the bleeps. They fit LDS' tone better than actual swearing.
Yeah, I'd say the bleeps are here to stay. The combination of the censor bleeps and Tendi's redaction bleeps was quite comical. Hearing the two different noises multiple times within the same sentence makes me think that this is how the show was supposed to sound and will always be that way. Don't hold your breath for an uncensored version any time soon.In the last one, we even got a new alert bleep in addition to the classic bleeps!![]()
