There was a lot of it mixed into this particular episode especially.

Just binged Season 3 and Lower Decks just goes from strength to strength. I bloody love this show!

Finally finished S3. I don't think it was as good as S2, but I'd really struggle to say it was bad in any way.

The finale was excellent. Very economical writing. A lot happened in 25 minutes, a lot of plates to spin, but they pulled it off.

SFDebris just finished his Season 1 reviews. He thinks it's best first season of Trek outside of TOS.

He also echos my opinion that you should skip episode 1 and save it for later, it is terrible.

Two ways to go. Either he is the oldest ensign in Starfleet, or he's now a captain.

I'm torn, the former would be funny but the latter would be a nice touch given he did end up a captain in an alternate future.

Jack Quaid looks absolutely nothing like Boimler in general though. Maybe use a body double? Go on a starvation diet?

Probably a wig since Boimler's hair seems longer than Jack Quaid's is.

Quaid’s a tall lanky guy. He’ll do fine.

They all will. IIRC, there was a photo circulating around in the past year or two of some of the cast members in costume, with Quaid wearing a purple wig. It might have been taken at one of the ComiCons or DragonCon or something. They're ready for it...
