What did Phlox and T'Pol notice exactly? I'm confused as to what point in the episode we're referring to.
I just think the interior was too finished off. And I don't believe that Archer -- whatever his stature -- would have wanted to live in better digs than his neighbors (even if the neighbors didn't begrudge him).I agree. I thought the sight of the settlement made up of the scavanged hulls of the armada (excluding the few ships that had weapons capability) was stunning. Tho' the interior of T'Pol and Archer's home was awfully HGTV considering what they presumably had to work with.
Agreed, but since Trip wouldn't get to see Archer very much, he despite being Captain of Enterprise would have worked his rear off to build him the best house possible. I'd be willing to bet Reed and Hoshi would've also settled for nothing less.
Also it being so nice, helps to set up the reveal of the situation very well.
OK, fine. T'Pol is not just a nursemaid, she's The Happy Homemaker because Archer might be confused and upset when he wakes up in a shantytown every morning.^
T'Pol did have years to work on it too. And it being a pleasant environment would be a must, since Archer would be unfamiliar with it. Otherwise he'd wake up with no memory in a room that was falling apart, which could put him on aggressive mode, which could cause bigger problems.

Yeah, thanks to trellium, she's only capable of sadness.OK, fine. T'Pol is not just a nursemaid, she's The Happy Homemaker because Archer might be confused and upset when he wakes up in a shantytown every morning.
She's a vulcan. She's not capable of happiness.

I think Twilight would have made a better season opener
Yeah, I mean, how the hell can anyone like that shit? I mean, like, take The Forgotten, for example. That episode is pure shit. Emotions? Fine acting? Why would Trek need any of that, right? That's because it was the only good episode in an otherwise waste of a season.
And don't even get me started on that Similitude piece of shit... Moral dilemmas? In MY Star Trek? Fuck no!

The Forgotten is the episode where Archer orders Trip to send a condolence letter to the family of a young woman on his engineering team and he keeps procrastinating because all he can think of is his sister. He finally breaks down while talking to T'Pol and finally comes to terms with his sister's death.Yeah, I mean, how the hell can anyone like that shit? I mean, like, take The Forgotten, for example. My real beef with the third season was I hated the Xindi. I thought they were stupid. And I hated making the storyline the destruction of Earth in the prequel show. I felt that there were other things they could have (and should have) done.
Which episode was The Forgotten anyway? I forgot.
Seriously.
