I recall an issue of IDW's Star Trek comics accidently using this design for the Kelvin-1701 in some panels of one issue. Pretty sure they just used google for references and traced the first thing they saw.

His last post on his Facebook Page is from just before New Year's. And according to his board profile he last visited here... a couple hours ago. Though, in accordance with tradition, his most recent post, a year and a half ago, was a year since his next-most-recent post, noted that he hadn't been around in a while, and he hoped to be posting more now! Ah, the Internet. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

So, he's probably okay.
