LOTR dir. cuts screenings at AMC Theaters starting June 14

AMC Theaters will screen the director’s cuts of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King over three successive weeks starting June 14, timed to coincide with the long-awaited release of the extended edition trilogy on Blu-ray.

Eh ... once you've seen the theatrical versions with the score performed live with a full orchestra and chorus ... it's kinda difficult to get excited about a theatrical re-release. I'm psyched for the BR release though ... now I just need to get myself a BR player.

Will they be striking new prints or just using digital projection? If it's the latter, I'll just wait for the Blu-Rays, thanks.
