LOST; which are the essential Jin & Sun episodes?

I say, either way you should at least watch all of the first season since all of its episodes start plot lines that are important later on. You may decide after watching the first season that you really want to watch all of the episodes in the series. Or, if you decide you can skip a few, then do that.

That makes it a lot easier.

I can watch the entirety of season 1, watch select "important episodes" and go back and watch everything when I have the time.

Thanks.

Do you not have the time in the next two months to watch all the episodes? "Lack of time" in this day and age of Lost being on abc.com (the ENTIRE SERIES, not just a few eps) and on Netflix or Blockbuster online isn't a good excuse for skipping some of the best lost-term plotlines I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and watch it in order. There's no particular reason you need to be skipping episodes and watching season 5 when it starts in 2009, because there will always be a way to catch up.

The viewing experience.
I'll tell you what.

I'll watch a 100 episodes of "Lost" if all of my non-Trekkie friends who are regular viewers of "Lost" watches 100 Star Trek episodes of my choosing (26 of which will mandatorily be from TNG's 1st season -- my personal favorite year of Star Trek.) as a trade-off.

Not only will that be "fair game," but it will allow all parties to inter-share in the experience.

(Of course, I know that they will be watching Star Trek XI in May 2009, so that covers it too. ;) )

...sure, right, okay. Whatever you want, man. Good luck finding 100 episodes of Lost right now, though. :bolian:

^^^

Curious:

How many episodes of "Lost" have been produced so far?

I would search for it myself on-line, but there are times when my eyes accidentally read potential spoilers in search of that relevant information.

Thanks.

The real answer to this question is will this not only help me get into the "inner circle" of my church members who regularly watch LOST and keep telling me "Dude, you have got to watch LOST!" (Eventhough they won't return the favor by watching 85 Star Trek episodes of my choosing, which is the same difference in exchange for me watching "their LOST" by catching up on all the past episodes and getting into it.) but the more important question that needs to be answered is:

"Will any of this sitting down and watching 85 episodes of LOST help me get laid?"

That is the question that needs to be answered for all of that time, energy, and effort spent.

That is 85 precious man hours in front of a TV screen, man?

Because, no amount of watching 85 episodes of LOST is worth it so that I can engage in few seconds of "water cooler discussions" on the weekends with the few TV viewers who I attend church with.

Unless I receive a brand new smart phone, and get some "happy time" for my endeavor, what is the nerdy point of doing this so that I get a few seconds of passing discussion with a few members from my church who don't give 2 shits about my personal life! ;)

Hello? I am 33 years old? I don't have time to sit in front of a TV watching 85 episodes every single night for the next 6 weeks, when I am better off investing in that time gettin' some poontang! :D

You're watching Lost to help get you laid? ...yikes.

And you actually expend energy watching television? Double yikes.

I wrote up that above post in "jest," man. ;)

Seriously, haven't you had a tough time getting other friends or acquaintances around you to watch STAR TREK, but they make up a lot of excuses not to, but with the main underlying reason being that there is too much of it produced for them to be able to catch up?

Well, I am in the same boat with LOST. If they are not even patient enough to view 85 STAR TREK episodes, isn't it a bit hypocritical of them to expect me to view 85 episodes of LOST? Come to my side for a change, instead of making me do all the work to get in on what everyone else is doing at the moment to be able to "get in on the inner circle."

This reminds me of the time back in high school when TNG was at its peak of popularity, and those among my friends who were into it had a lot to talk about week-after-week, while those who weren't just weren't in on the conversation except be able to ask about a character named "Rikard," those "Ferengians," or Data's brother named "Ho...Whore?"

Well, the tables have turned, and now I am the one who is stuck on that boat with LOST. ;)

Nope, never. Sorry.

Star Trek = bumpy forehead of the week alien (DS9 S4-7, Enterprise S3 exceptions)
LOST - every episode is intricate and important.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who can't stand Kate episodes.

I didn't mind Fire+Water all that much, though. The Locke and Charlie scene in it was great.
