Lost vs. Babylon 5

^ Have you met a Scot before? Sensible and considerate is not their way.

I, for one, still have no idea. Probably one of those British things?

Technically correct, though Scotland is only British through an accident of geography.

Oh, you've made him mad now.... ;)

[stands back]

Why? I *am* British :S

I would have clarified, but I was low on my alcoholism quota last night and had to go beat my wife. I expect you'll be wearing your bowler hat to the country club for afternoon tea? Pip pip.

Never mind that. Sorry for any distress caused, I was just being silly (and I thought my meaning would have been implicit enough...)

Wait, are we getting our stereotypes crossed? I thought the Irish were the drink and domestic abuse ones?
For the record though, being of the Wiltshire persuasion, I'm less ministry of silly walks and more Worzel Gummidge. Now escuz me Iz gots t' go owt an' buy a 'tracr. Ooh aarrh. ;)

Shit, I've been working from the wrong textbook. That's why I got funny looks when I went crying in an empty potato field.

It happens. I once met a polite Frenchman who didn't stink of garlic, poor bugger. No beret, no baguette, no stripy jumper. I don't know what the world's coming to!

I once visited Paris and found the people friendly and helpful to this American. I thought I had somehow landed in the wrong country. ;)

How many B5 alumni appeared on "Lost" ? I can remember Mira Furlan and Daniel Dae Kim.....

Let's see, aside from the obvious ones (Furlan & Dae Kim) a quick search turns up: -

Fredric Lehne; The ranger who delivered Sinclair's message in 'The Coming of Shadows' also played the US Marshal that nicked Kate and as I recall the "yellow eyed demon" on Supernatural.
William Sanderson; Deuce in Grail & Thirdspace played Oldham on Lost. Of course better known as J.F. Sebastian from Blade Runner.
Julie Ow: Played a MedTech in 'Rising Star' (the one that briefed Franklin on Marcus & Ivanova if memory serves) and a by a bizarre coincidence (or typecasting), a Nurse on Lost.
Julian Barnes: Played Lord Durano in 'Into the Fire' (the one that told Londo who really had Adira killed) and on Lost he played a Dr. Woodruff in 'Par Avion'.

I also turned up a bunch of voice actors who dubbed for the non-english versions of both shows, including one that did the French dub for Mira on both occasions.

Behind the camera there's also Mitch Suskin who was VFX supervisor on B5 & Lost.

Another interesting little titbit I came across: some of the Dharma station logos (see here) incorporate logos from B5! I can spot the Vorlon Empire, Minbari Federation & one of the Warrior Caste clan emblems (wind swords or star riders, I think.) Methinks Suskin may be behind these. ;)

[EDIT]
Looks like those emblems are actually fakes. Serves me right for not paying attention!

But did they speak in a Slavic accent, like one certain French person on LOST? ;)
