Lost SPOILERS Freighter!

Yeah, me neither. I have no clue who those two are.

*sigh* ...they're the stars of Grey's Anatomy. I wish I didn't know that. I have no idea how to change a tire, but I know who the stars of a tv show I don't watch are.

1) Others leader Ben (Michael Emerson) has been called many things — Master Manipulator, Bug-Eyed Bastard, Captain Bunny Killer — but an action hero? In the April 24 episode, Ben leads the resistance against the freighter fiends working for cranky billionaire Charles Widmore, while in his flashforward adventure, he does battle in the Tunisian desert and spies on a funeral in Iraq. Emerson was as surprised as anyone by this unexpected turn of events, not to mention a little anxious. "Stunts, languages — all sorts of special skills were asked of me," he says. "feel like I've done everything but the kitchen sink in this episode. God only knows what's next."

2) In one scene witnessed by TV Guide, Sawyer, Miles (Ken Leung) and a banged-up Claire, holding baby Aaron, make a ghastly discovery in the jungle: one dead body and an extra dismembered arm. Surprisingly, the con man turns all Big Brother on the single mum. "Since Charlie's died, feel like no one's protecting Claire," Holloway explains. But can anyone really keep Claire from joining the island's body count? After all, Aaron's calling Kate "Mommy" in the future. De Ravin claims she hasn't received the dreaded phone call from producers. "Maybe just let the baby go first," she says. "Or maybe fall off the helicopter. But if that's the case, I'm not shooting that scene. Stunt double, please!"

3) Remember that watercolor painting an institutionalized Hurley was working on when Charlie appeared in the season premiere? Jorge Garcia painted it himself. He also decided what to paint — an Eskimo fishing outside an igloo. "I was like, 'hope people think this means something,'" says the prankster. Mission accomplished: After the episode, fan sites buzzed with theories, including one he expected: "I hoped people might think it had something to do with the guys [in the Season 2 finale] speaking Portuguese in the snow."

4) TV Guide caught a scene shot for the May 1 episode in which Jack collapses, unconscious, on the beach. Expect Juliet to take charge and perform emergency surgery. "get to go into Jack's guts!" says a gleeful Mitchell, who adds, "After reading this episode, realized that Juliet really does truly love him." Even so, Jack's flash-forward revolves around Kate. We're sworn to secrecy but will let slip that fans of "Jate" are in for a long-awaited happy twist of events.

5) Coming attractions: The return of ageless Other Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell). A trek to Jacob's cabin. In the future, Hurley imparting a chilling message from Charlie to Jack. Christian Shephard reaching out to both (!) of his children.

6) The producers' ambitions for the season finale were so epic, they had to ask ABC for an additional hour (Part 1 airs May 15; the second and third hours will air May 29). "All we can say is, at the end of May 15, viewers will be left wondering how the hell in two hours are the Oceanic 6 all going to be together and off the island?" executive producer Damon Lindelof says. But get off they will. And as a result, expect Lost to be a whole new ball game — again — when it returns for Season 5.

How about this...

SPOILER ALERT! It was a big day for “LOST.” A week after a big shoot in Kaimuki, the crew moved to an even bigger stage on the other end of the island. A huge crowd of extras reported to the old Barbers Point Naval Air Station in Kalaeloa, taking over a massive hangar at the Ewa airfield. Inside Hangar 111, home to the University of Hawaii Pacific Aerospace Training Center, a historic scene was unfolding.
It was the return of the Oceanic Six. The moment when Jack, Sayid, Hurley, Sun, Kate, and Aaron arrive back in the real world, a moment that the flash forwards seem to have been building backwards toward since the end of Season 3. Their rescue is as huge a media circus as you’d imagine, with a throng of reporters and photographers on hand as they step off the plane.
A military transport plane. That brought them back to the United States. Via Honolulu.
Actually, the dramatic disembarkation was to be filmed later. But today’s filming focused on an elaborate Oceanic Airlines-coordinated press conference. Or, as my two sources put it, “a big press con.” The world’s media was there for answers, as well as several familiar faces: Veronica Hamel (Margo Shephard), Cheech Marin (David Reyes) and Lillian Hurst (Carmen Reyes). But as “LOST” fans know, the answers they got merely raised more questions.
Ms. Austen, how old is Aaron? Ms. Kwon, what happened to your husband? Mr. Reyes, what of your fortune, and this hefty airline settlement? The answers they give, I dare not tell. But suffice it to say, the press is as skeptical of the official story as “LOST” toughest fans. (And Hurley’s hackles are raised by a query that’s been raised by viewers and comedians alike since Season 1.) Sayid toes the line, but isn’t happy about it.
And yes, the Oceanic Six make surprising mention of some long, lost friends. Three of them, at least, whose deaths occurred in each of the first three seasons.

And this from USAToday. The paper got fans to write in theories and got TPTB to talk about them. Here is one theory and the reply...

Theory:

There is an off-island presence for Dharma that is working to get back onto the island to finish their work with the Valenzetti Equation. Ms. Hawking (the white-haired time-traveler who crossed paths with Desmond) was a former Swan worker and developed the same ability Desmond has. Ms. Hawking accidently got this ability during the original incident. She survived by finding her constant — Brother Campbell — and left the island. After leaving the island, her visions developed, and she has seen what needs to take place in order for Dharma to regain control of the island.

Her visions include a complicated pattern of people that are required to be on the island in order for a set series of events to occur for Dharma to return to the island. With the help of others, including Christian Shephard, Richard Malkin, Nadia and Libby, the group ensures that specific people are on the plane in order for the series of events to occur.

Desmond must reach the island to cause Flight 815 to crash; Locke must locate the hatch to keep Desmond alive. Desmond must influence Charlie to turn off the jamming device. Jack calls the freighter.

Reply:

Cuse: “This is a very evolved theory that has a lot of stuff in it that’s pretty close to the mark. We really responded very strongly to this theory.”

Lindelof: “We liked the way it was worded, so concisely. And because it does contain the aforementioned theories of time travel and manipulation of space-time, this theory gets a solid A.

Cuse: “As a matter of fact, we can’t even comment on it too much because there’s a lot in here that’s pretty accurate.”

Lindelof: “We’re not going to explain why we’re giving it an A. Hopefully, the writer of this theory will take their A and be very proud, put it up on their refrigerator.”

Cuse: “It’s not all correct, but we kind of responded to the way this person thought.”

Lindelof: “It’s not all correct, but it could be correct.”

Cuse: “Or parts of it could be correct.”

Lindelof: “That’s correct.”

Cuse: “I will say that this person is going to really respond to Season 5 and feel very superior to everyone else.”

Lindelof: “Then, in Season 6, we will crush their spirits and prove them wrong. And until then, they should enjoy the ride.”

Hey look, it's 2 sneak peaks for 4x10 Something Nice Back Home, here.
