Lost In Space Series Reboot In Works

I should probably check out John Carter at some point. At the very least, I expect it would give my subwoofers a workout, and that's always amusing.

Anyone know what the Jupiter 2 from the previous aborted pilot looked like? Supposedly it was in the far background of some of the rag-tag-fleet shots of the newer BSG.

I'm not sure, since I only saw the John Woo pilot once some years ago, but I think its conceit was that the J2 was one of a whole bunch of landing craft attached to a much larger colony ship, and that it was the only one that jettisoned intact when the colony ship was destroyed by aliens.

After a little digging, I answered my own question:

Jose Perez built the model, and if you look on this page, there's some YouTube links that have the full (but grainy) pilot. It doesn't look bad, but it's kind of *meh* IMO. Too much greebling.

It would be appreciated if the production design has the Jupiter 2 still a saucer shape as was the primary hull of the 1701 from TOS to TMP.

I didn't see much of the original series but I liked the movie and even though the pilot was unfinished I liked it too. So I am looking forward t oseing this new series if it happens.
