Looking for some TOS to watch

I'm surprised no one has suggested Where No Man Has Gone Before. Always been my top favourite, this one, and some great performances here from the cast (Gary Lockwood is particularly good).

A great start to the series. Shame it eventually went out as episode three...

The quality was pretty consistent during season one. Just start with WNMHGB and continue on in production order.

RyuRoots, I like your point that Kirk seems more personally affected by the deaths of his men. In fact, I think Kirk is less callous about his redshirts than any of the 24th century captains are.

What Kelso said. TOS season one is very consistent overall, in fact, probably one of the most consistent in all of Trek history. The only outright stinker in season 1 is arguably 'The Alternate Factor'.

Well, I was referring to The Man Trap specifically when I said that, actually. I seem to recall some TOS episodes where nameless mooks get vaporized, squashed, or whatever the variety of death this week is, and the ending is basically "Ha ha! Glad that all ended well!"
