Looking for Simon & Schuster phone number

That is one thing that's nice about purchasing through Barnes and Noble is that if my nook loses data or I lose data on my PC all my purchases are still available through the B&N website.
Most of them. If B&N is no longer selling a title, you may not be able to redownload it. Which is why you should always try to keep your own copies if possible. :)

Well, I managed to sort out the problem with the the ePub. I had to strip the DRM and clean up the mess that was the CSS. Now it's looking good and it's usable with ADE. But I should not have had to strip the DRM in order to be able to read it. The CSS was a nightmare. Once I did some searching/replacing, I was able to fix things. But I am still going to give CS a call because I cannot download it the way I should be able to.

CS is closed on the weekend. So I'll give them a call on Monday. Wish me luck.

Good luck, and please let us know how it works out.

I will for sure. I just hope nobody else here has to go through this. S&S never did respond to the problem I posted via their support form. So unless I can get a person on the phone, I don't think there is any way to get problems like this solved.

I called customer service and the person said they don't deal with my problem and gave me a phone number to call. I called and it wasn't the correct place. But the person on the phone took my info and my problem and said she'd try to find the right person/department to hand this over to. So I'll wait and see what happens.

Basically, if you have a problem with any eBooks bought direct from S&S, good luck getting it fixed. I only got it fixed because I knew how to deal with stripping the DRM, fixing the CSS, & having Reader Library (for my Sony Reader) installed and using that to download the eBook with. Most people would not be able to get this sorted and I want to see what S&S will be able to do with this problem.

Are other people reporting problems with this book? You didn't say which title it was, but are people commenting on it at the website page for the book? I'm just curious, as one would think other customers purchasing the book via this method would also be reporting similar problems.

I have two SCE books that won't open on my nook, but will open on my BlackBerry. I purchased them last December. B&N says the problem is with the publisher. I'm inclined to agree since I don't have this problem with any other eBook. Despite sending numerous e-mails, I have yet to get a response. It'll be a project for when I have more time to sit around and wait while I'm on hold.

Star Trek: Terok Nor: Dawn of the Eagles is the book that doesn't work due to DRM issues. The problem is not on my end, but on S&S's end.

Thank you for the idea to post my problem as a review. I did that and I'll see what happens. The site says it takes up to 72 hours for the review to appear. So I'll see what happens. meanwhile, I am going to give customer service a call tomorrow and tell them what's going on and that I want to be put through to someone in the eBook department.

Are these ePub or eReader format eBooks?
