Looking for a british person...

Also, aren't the acoustics of hearing your own voice different than hearing others' voices? After all, your ears receive the sound not just from the outside, but also as a vibration coming from your throat that is transmitted through the body to the ears.
Yes. When you listen to yourself as you're speaking, something like half of what you hear is reaching the sound receptors of your inner ear via the bones of your jaw and skull. That's why it can sound strange to you when you hear a recording of your voice on playback, even on good equipment: it's missing a prominent component you're used to hearing and you will perceive it as sounding thinner.

Thank you An Officer and MacLeod! :) Already found a word. "Opposide". Opposit .... hmm..but side is seid...why is it opposit and not opposeid. Oh well..so sit is it.
And "eh"... though it would be ai, was wondring as its not written ai, but eh, so it does make more sense also to speak it eh. Though in one of the Twist movies the Dodger says it ai. By the way is eh a normal use word? Never so sure what to put at the end. In German I´d use "ja or was or wa or ne" but in English the sentences seems always half completed, without such a little word to put there and very formal somehow. Or also the word "huh" Like ..uhm..thats good, huh? Could it be also Thats good eh? The same as Thats good, is it? Which to use?

TerokNor

Depending on what region of the UK you are from, the way you pronunce a word might be altered slightly.
