Yeah, last time that I checked Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV (born Françoise Appledelhi) aka Radical Ed was 100% fictional.
Watanabe uses both the pronouns "her" and "it" to refer to Ed. I gather from Abroad in Japan on YouTube that it's less usual to use pronouns in Japanese and that it's a feature of English with which they struggle. It'll be interesting to see what we actually get in the live action.

Saw all ten now.
I liked the main cast a lot. And Mustafa Shakir can marry me right now.
One thing from the anime I missed is Spike having fun when he's in control of a fight. I mean...
The VFX range from great to "huh"? as in the terrible terrible shot of Jet making his first entrance.
Gren was fine, if underused. Ana was good.
Vicious was scenery chewing so intensely I'm surprised they had any set walls left. I found him tedious and couldn't wait for his scenes to end.
I disliked a lot of the banter, which I got into sitcom territory too much.
The scripting was overall meh.
The gore level was a bit too much for my tastes.

The show suffers from an overdose of connect-the-dots. e.g., Vicious sends Pierrot Le Fou after Spike, and Ein is connected to Le Fou. Seriously?
I intensely disliked them endangering Jet's daughter and basically traumatizing her for life. As if Spike lying to Jet wasn't enough to break them up.
Julia's behavior throughout the final episode was completely predictable. Zero surprises. I'm only sorry she didn't waste Vicious because I'd just rather not see him again.

I'm a few episodes in now. I'm pretty "Meh" about it. The over acting (from actors who are quite capable of better work) & the whole Vicious running plot are making me roll my eyes. The juxtaposition of trying to make it look like a gritty, lived in solar system and the characters always looking absolutely pristine, no matter what they are doing or how many fights they are in doesn't work for me. The dialogue seems like it thinks it's smarter and funnier than it is. I'll stick with it a bit more but right now I'm not seeing anything in it I'll remember 6 months from now.

Haven't seen the anime in.. A decade? So don't remember it to well, wasnt that great to begin with.. It's popular because it was one of the first anime on cartoon network, along with Dbz and outlaw star (that show id watch a live action)
So going into this with.. I'm bored and it's making me laugh.

I'm nearly done with all ten episodes. And I have to agree Vicious is tedious and I tune out every time he's on screen.

What gets me is.. There's naked boobies, a brothel with a dominatrix with her but hanging out..

Why not? It's never been about the amount of skin. It's about whether female characters are given agency. A female character who chooses to be nude or in lingerie in a sexual context, where it fits her own goals and intentions to be (un)dressed that way, is less objectified than one who's put in a skimpy top and hot pants by default even in non-sexual contexts, where it's done purely as eye candy for the audience.
And who says Faye's dressed "conservatively?" Sure, her outfits aren't as cartoonishly skimpy as the one in the cartoon, but that doesn't mean they aren't sexy by a more realistic standard. I haven't seen the show yet, but one of the trailers shows her wearing a dress with a neckline plunging clear to her waist, which is hardly conservative. It's a matter of context -- she dresses sexily when it makes sense for her to do so, rather than as an unvarying default. And as I've pointed out before, her main outfit is basically the same as her animated outfit -- yellow top, red jacket, shorts, stockings, boots -- but more realistic in its construction and wearability. It's not "conservative," it's just not a cartoon caricature of a sexy outfit.
Just pointing out the hypocrisy of the show runner/people..

I'm not asking to dress Faye in the anime kit, I know it's unrealistic, just that it was a big deal of the show to point it out, then go 180 with showing T&A in the show..

It's nothing of the sort. As I said, it's missing the whole point to think it's only about the amount of skin. There is nothing wrong with showing people being sexy in contexts where it makes sense for them to be presenting themselves sexually, where it fits the story and the situation and the characters' motivations. The problem is when characters are gratuitously objectified by default in non-sexual contexts, where it would be unrealistic for them to choose to dress that way. Faye is a bounty hunter, not an exotic dancer or a prostitute, so the standards of suitable attire are different.
I don't recall the show's promotion making a big deal out of it. It was the Internet that did that.
Eh, I’m glad they have Faye wearing something more sensible. The brothel was a place designed to pedal flesh so I don’t see how the nudity there has anything to do with how Faye dresses or anything else.

Considering the quotes are almost certainly translated from Japanese, he might not have used any of them.

I guess it depends on how well the translator did their job. It's possible that some nuance got lost or mangled in translation. The same goes for the dub of the anime into English. Not knowing Japanese, I have no idea. The translators could be consciously or unconsciously overloading the content with their own agendas. The subject of how pronouns are used in Japanese looks pretty complicated, judging by the Wikipedia entry.

It helps to explain why the English dubs of some Japanese anime often differ wildly from the English subtitles. My guess (for what that's worth) is that at first only subtitles are produced at minimal cost . The dub is created later when the anime gains success outside Japan. This dub uses a new translation that tries to improve on the crappy subtitles. Often it seems that redoing the subtitles is deemed an unnecessary expense.
Not just in this show, it's everywhere. Some of the dialogue in this adaptation is very grating, I admit. If there's a second season, I hope it gets reigned in.
