Listening To Internet Radio?

Vulagr

Commander
Do you listen to internet radio at all? If so, i'm curious about what you listen to. Do you listen to local stations or stations from around the world?

As for me, I listen to both local and non local stations. However, for my locations my stations are somewhat limited because they tend to be blocked by mountains. So sometimes I'll listen to internet radio.

Right now I'm listening to an Irish station that is playing Celtic music straight from Dublin.

I use grooveshark.com. You can build your own station with whatever music you want. It's not like Pandora, where you create a station and it plays random stuff that is similar. You can literally pick every single song you want to listen to.

I listen to Coast to Coast AM sometimes on a west coast feed because I don't like staying up all night to listen to it. Love to hear the crazy people!

I listen to Radio New Zealand (I'm in Canada) - the time shift means that their morning discussion show is on during my afternoon which is when I listen. If I'm listening at a different time, I'll circle round the globe to find a different country's channel.

I belong to Pandora, where I've created a Folk channel and a Rock channel. Like RoJo says, it selects things based on the examples I choose, which I like, because it has found new things for me that I've never heard before.

I also sometimes listen to Lost 45s on the local station that has it (which changes from time to time).

I listen to Pandora as well. Right now I am loving my Christmas music station. I also have one for 90s country, mellow tunes, alternative, oldies, and movie soundtracks. I have discovered a lot of new music this way.
