Oh yeah, that 1980s cop show with the tall guy and his hot female partner, and a cranky black boss always annoyed with him? When I first saw "Sledge Hammer", I thought it seemed like a parody of that show (among other things), with the similar characters (maverick trigger-happy cop, hot female partner, cranky black boss who hates him).

She was in that movie? Of course, I saw it a long, long time ago as a kid... It's very memorable, but I just remember the creepy robot character played by Yul Brynner.

Just saw an episode of I, Spy ("The Barter") from 1965 the other day that included appearances by George Takei (as a Japanese butler/servant) and Roger C. Carmel (Harry Mudd) as one of the main villains of the episode. Takei didn't have much to do or say in the episode, but Carmel was very much in the same sort of mode he later used when he played Mudd in TOS. Perhaps the TOS production folks caught him in this and that helped to inspire his characterization of Mudd.

Today I watched The Mentalist and I couldn't remember from where I knew one of the guest stars, Abby Brammell, as she looked completely different than what I remember her on Enterprise where she played Persis, one of the Augments. Still little strange to see ST actors in the real world drama

For fellow Jolene Blalock fans, she was in a movie a couple years ago called Shadow Puppets. It certainly wasn't the greatest movie, but Jolene spent most of it wearing nothing but panties and a tank top. And her nips were continually, and pleasingly, frigid. That was most definitely worth the price of admission, and it was rather a disappointment when her character found a lab coat to put on.

Chase Masterson recently starred in a movie called Yesterday Was a Lie. It's actually a very cool movie even if Chase hadn't been in it. Kind of a cross between film-noir and sci-fi. Plus, Chase does some singing in it, and she has an amazing voice -- she has a couple cd's out that are very good.
