Lindelof On Eve Scene (minor spoilers, hysteria, hyperbole)

Because people feel vulnerable when naked. That's just human. She's showing him that she does not feel vulnerable even when naked. She doesn't scream, grab for a towel or anything, she just stands up fully exposed and lets her servant girl dress dress her. It's the beauty of the scene.

I watch it for two things..

1. The fantastic casting and visuals which I'm sure many who have read the books as I have are wowed by.

2. TYRION LANNISTER who is unbelievably hot. And really, the only hot man there.

Otherwise it's plenty offensive, gratuitous, soft pornish and icky all of which makes talking about Alice Eve in her underwear very very silly.

Game of Thrones is a really great show. I love the writing and great acting. There is tons of nudity but there are many STRONG women on the show like Dany, Cersei, Arya, and Brienne. Trek wishes it has as many badass females as GoT!

The producers and writers also never foolishly apologize for the extreme violence and nudity either.

I have this cool figure still in box on my table right now next to my laptop. Tyrion is the man!

Not really Belz.. here we are expressing our love for a tv show that is full of full frontal nudity and yet poor Carol Marcus is still in trouble for her one (gratuitous) underwear scene. Is it that we are all trained over years of Star Trek viewing to believe that Star Trek is essentially prudish? Too evolved for a little booty?

Also...deleted shower scene ;)

after all that work BC put in, what a waste...

It was probably best the scene was left out of the movie, the ladies would have swooned over his character if it was there. Not something they should be doing over the villain!

Au contraire.. he's wounded you know. No one was ever nice to him and he didn't even have a mother, he was born in a test tube. He needs us.

I wonder if the female Trek fans felt that way when Ricardo Montalbán first appeared as Khan in "Space Seed?";)

I don't mind using it as an example or comparison, but let's not forget that the topic of the thread is not Game of Thrones, but Alice Eve's completely gratuitous, partial-nudity-but-not-really, children-scarring and civilization-breaking 2-second scene.

That is SO cute! Sansa doesn't seem to realize she just won the Lannister lotto, because if it had to be a Lannister there's nobody better than him.

Agreed. :)

It's good up until you get to the face. He looks constipated. Have you ever babysat and it's a small child, like 2, and they go off and stand by the wall, and then they get really quiet and make a face for a while, and you can tell what's happening. This is that.

Kudos to Cumberbatch on muscling up, though.

I'm making sure no on ever forgets that with every post I make.

You forgot to add with minor spoilers, hysteria, hyperbole. I just want your list to be complete. ;)

I'm dying here.. :guffaw:

What! The only thing the main characters in this movie are is arm candy?

That sounds to me like you're just hating on the movie and looking for noble reasons to do so.

Well, yeah. This isn't an evidence-based argument, it's an hysterical, prudish riff on an image.
