A couple of Oregonians (Organians? Orangutans? Orange Juliuses?) have started a ballot initiative to secede, aiming for a 2018 vote. I don't know if it's even possible, but the ramifications of a state's secession in this day and age are not the same as 150 years ago. They really need to think this through.
States should be allowed to leave.

Not hard at all, but a lot of CA is Red, as are Oregon, Washington and Nevada. The Blue parts might not like being isolated with all those Red voters.
Oh, I wasn't talking about gerrymandering, I was talking about segregating the different sorts of assholes from each other with new state lines to create happiness.
