So for those who believe the past will correct itself if something is changed, doesn't that imply there is a conscious mind at work? God? time cops?
Not necessarily. In the case where the past corrects itself, it would appear as if there's some conscious will causing random events to fix continuity, but that wouldn't be what's going on.
Any universe that is not self-causing is not a stable quantum state. And if it's *ever* not a stable quantum state, it was *never* a stable quantum state, and thus the universe never existed. If the universe was not self causing, it never existed, thus the fact we can observe it existing proves it is self causing.
Kind of like if you're watching a documentary about a person who won the World Series of Poker. The cards and laws of probability would appear to be intentionally conspiring to make the poker champion win. But no, we are just only able to observe the player random luck happened to favor.
