We all like pancakes! How do you eat your pancakes??

I eat mine with diet syrup and real butter..sometimes I usually drink milk with them.

If you have pancakes in several different forms post them,..

Thanks in advance :)

I like them either with a sourish jam like redcurrant jelly or cornel cherry jam or with a mix of plain yoghurt and fresh berries (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, red currants, black currants, gooseberries - whatever is at hand. See picture below)

My mom eats them with apple purée and/or with heaps of sugar. She insists that "pancakes must crunch" [with sugar], else they don't count as pancakes. Stands to hope she'll never turn diabetic.

Edit: totally forgot: German pancakes differ from your American ones. Ours are larger and very thin and soft. Much like French crepes or Mexican tortillas, only fluffier and softer than either.

Not the biggest fan of pancakes, but when I do eat them it's with butter and real maple syrup.

Usually with some jam, preferrably strawberry or some sweetened cottage cheese.

In case of a full blown meal one can fill them with bolognese sauce, cheese on top and off into the oven for a short while (you better not be on a diet with these bad boys ).

^or Topfenpalatschinken  pancakes filled and topped with sweetened cottage cheese, cream, eggs, a hint of vanilla and (if you like rum-soaked) raisins, braised in the oven. An Austrian recipe. Yummy stuff with a gazillion calories =)

I eat them with real butter and real maple syrup. I also add protein powder to the batter. I also eat them all too rarely.

I think pancake mix is going on the grocery list.

Don't buy a mix. Mixes are most of the time a rip-off:
American pancakes consist only of flour, eggs, milk, sugar, butter and baking powder.
The mix consists of flour, baking powder and artificial flavour. You still have to add sugar, butter, milk and eggs. So why waste money on what is basically a packet of butter-flavoured self-rising flour?

If you make pancakes from scratch it takes barely 2 minutes longer than the mix but you can make 10 times as many pancakes for the same money!
Here's a pretty good recipe: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/fluffyamericanpancak_74828

Hmm. An easy project. Sounds fun.

It is :) But making German pancakes is even more fun because ours are larger and not fluffy but rather thin and elastic. You turn them by letting them do a summersault a few inches above the pan. A flick of the wrist, a solid cast-iron pan and plenty of butter are all that's needed. Just the thing to show off :D
If you do it with too much vigor, the pancake will end up sticking to a cupboard or in the worst case on the ceiling. Always good for a laugh and a thorough spring-cleaning ;)

On the rare (due to constant dieting) occasions that I eat pancakes, the only way to do it is with a little butter on each, then peanut butter and then syrup. Same way I eat waffles and French toast... Mmmmmmmmm...

I don't know about the rest of you people, but I eat pancakes with a fork. With butter and syrup. Haven't had real pancakes in several years, last one must have been around last March at McDonalds. I don't cook.

I don't see well enough to use the range anymore. And since getting the cat 5 years ago, she often naps at the spot above the pilot light, as she's doing right now.

If I see pancakes doing somersaults, it's usually because I've been drinking heavily... :ouch:

srsly though, I just eat 'em with butter and syrup. Accompanied by huge helpings of scrambled eggs and bacon.

Love pancakes. I generally have them with raspberry jam. One of things I love to do with pancakes, is put something else into the mixture, like melted chocolate or thawed mixed berries.
