Life After People

That actually makes me happy. We fucked this planet up so much with roads and building and all kinds of things and within 1,000 years very littler would be left.
We haven't fucked up this planet near as much as some people will try and tell you. About the only thing that will be around after we are gone is maybe plastic. The planet has been a lot worse off without us doing the damage.

blah blah blah blah blah

I know all that bullshit!

My point is as a species of this plant we have done insane damage to other species for no reason but that we could! We as a species no longer adapt we conquer and destroy to fit what we think our needs are.

WHAT?! Are you telling me that we as a species no longer adapt? That we conquer and destroy to fit what we think our needs are?? Are you kidding me?! You sure that you are not pulling my leg?? :shifty:

What of other species are we talking about? How damage have we done to cause??

All species that have ever lived have done the same try to change or adapt to the environment to live. If they can't do it they die. It's been the way of life for about 3 billion years.

With all the jumping around, feels really hollow, and then you just watch the same episode next time, except it's the Statue of Liberty falling down instead of the Eiffel Tower...

I agree with this. Every episode is basically the same story with different disaster porn thrown in.

Yet in the end, every skyscraper collapse looks about the same regardless of the cause. Maybe that's how they'll all come down, but the repetition gets old after awhile.

I'd much rather see them concentrate one one time period per episode and show in more detail what will happen in that time frame. They tend to concentrate on familiar urban areas and landmarks, but I'd like to see a little more variety: It may not make for good "diaster porn", but I'd love to see more of what will happen in some of the more sparsely inhabited regions of the world.

Also that concerns me about transhumanity, rather I find it very frighteningly.
Im not freaked out by it, instead quite fascinated. But that could be due to the fact that anything really significant in that regard wont be happening during my lifetime. Had History or Discovery Channels ever made any documentaries about this topic?

For scientific purposes the show is amazing & unique.

It can persuade children who may not be interested in science to make a u-turn & pursue a career in mathematics, physics, architecture, etc.

But in the long run it can bore the viewer without no dynamic action.

I’d give the show two more seasons before cancellation but I would like for it to stay longer than that.

How are you fascinated by this? And History or Discovery channel hadn't yet to made documentaries about this topic. I don't think they're going to produce it ever to telling the story on what is transhumanity.
