Life after Chuck and Sarah get together

Joe Washington

I have this feeling that by the end of episode 12 or episode 13 that Chuck and Sarah will finally become a couple. But since the show will continue go on past episode 13 and probably past this season, I'm wondering how things on the show will change with Chuck and Sarah finally in a relationship both in public and in private. Do you think it'll suffer the tragic fate of Moonlighting once David and Maddie got together or do it'll go the distance and get more interesting like Farscape after John and Aeryn got together

They won't get together, the show runners haven't shown much in the way of changing the formula of the show too much.

As someone who watches the show for pretty much everything except its primary romance, I don't think the show would change that much. I just hope the show continues long enough to get that far.

I'd also speculate that the semi-reinvention the show saw at the end of its last season, with Chuck going from reluctant pseudo-spy to willingly accepting the much more powerful intersect 2.0, was a bigger shakeup than anything the Chuck/Sarah romance could provide.

If they can replace the stupid drama of "will they or won't they" with the much better and more interesting drama of "will Chuck remain his charming self or be corrupted and bad and evil by the spy biz," then Chuck and Sarah could have sex and guess what, the sky won't fall! Here's how it could work:

Chuck had that little problem with The Pill, even tho Sarah warned him about it. (Those who aren't up to speed, that isn't as strange as it sounds. :rommie:)

Chuck and Sarah finally decide to have a real romance. But the snake in the grass is: Chuck knows he can never be A Real Spy without the dratted pill, which will turn him...

EVIL! Just in time for the season cliffhanger.

Next season, Sarah and a reinstated Casey battle to save Chuck's soul from his newly EVIL! status - he probably joins the Ring and everything - and the series ends with Chuck being returned to Chuckness, running off with Sarah and living happily ever after, having gotten all that ridiculous spy nonsense out of his system.

That really seems to be the only place the story can go at this point that won't just be wheel-spinning.

Well, it seems that Chuck and Sarah being together isn't just a dream anymore. It's a reality. I can't wait to see what happens next.

My number one complaint about this season is this endless will they won't they garbage. It's really killing the fun of the show. Also, giving Chuck super powers makes Casey and Sarah redundant, which I don't like either. Also, the Buy More stories have been completely side-lined, which I also don't like. Season Two had the best mix of storytelling I think.
