Let's Use the Standardized Abbreviations

Ok, I think my brain is starting to bleed
They have spores for that, you know.
Alas I seem not to be a tru fan?I think my preferred method will be "S1E05" for example. Any TRUE fan would not need title abbreviations.
The problem with the abbreviation is that you have to know every episode title. I've watched the show for decades but I sometimes forget episode titles. Eg I can't remember the name of the episode where the guys are black on one side and white on the other and the Lazarus episode. What's wrong with me?
Any "serious ST fan" these days has trained their autocomplete to predict the full title while typing so there's no need for this.
Unless they're an old-fashioned Luddite like me who wouldn't know how to do that if my life depended on it . . .
There was a story from the TNG era claiming that Closed Caption typists used a macro key for "warp core breach," because it came up so damn often.
Wait, you mean the fourth movie is not actually titled "The One with the Whales"?
A funny story, but seems unlikely. Warp core breach was said 45 times during TNG, DS9, and VOY...if they were gonna have a macro for anything you'd think it would be something like "Captain's log..."
I just assumed the Closed Captioning workers had multiple macros on their F-key row. Warp core breach, Captain's Log, Aye Sir, Make it so, Shields are down to [fill in space] percent...
