I always thought it was cute how he called her thatSweeting.
Me too!Neelix and Tuvok .. love their scenes together.
The characters are what first drew me to Voyager and what ultimately made it my favorite. They seem more complex and more "real" than characters from the other shows.Well done Lynx. That's what I relate to most about Voyager, it's the character combinations. The little pair ups that have their own history. Janeway and Tuvok, Torres and Chakotay. They're not romantic as such (ignoring B'elanna's fantasies that one time) more like old friends. Then the new combinations that being on Voyager created. Harry and Tom. The Doctor and Seven. Tuvok and Neelix. Kes and the Doctor, Kes and Tuvok.
In some ways I always thought Harry tended toward being arrogant though. Dismissive. He was down right insubordinate with Tuvok at times and oh so superior with the Doctor, but that's another subject. Back to Neelix though, he was such an optimist.

It's weird but I enjoyed the episode with Tuvix but he lost me when he tried to guilt Janeway to not revert him back to Tuvok and Neelix. I kept thinking suck it up and let the other two get on with their lives. Tuvix was an anomaly not a real life. I wish I felt more sympathy for him but he was like some poor soul who has messed with plastic surgery and ruined their face. You know there's a human being beneath the outside but all you can see is something not quite right.
But he was so hurt about his family, underneath the smiles. I think the crew became his surrogate family. He was often the class clown but underneath that he was complex, trusting, always wanting to bring a smile to someone's face.
