Like the title, I just want to ask you all to give us your idea to save Startrek from it's extinction. You can tell us everything you like. But please, you must understand that this post is brainstorming post, not just tell your expect from the next Startrek. So please, give your thought to create new Startrek that not only make old fans love to watch it to 7 seasons, but bring in new fans too (hopefully foreign fans too)
To start this session, I will give you my ideas. but first, forgive me for my lack english capability :
I want to create a new startrek called Startrek : Federation. It is a story that start shortly after the end of Dominion War, where Alpha Quardrant condition become very critical, and political situation in Federation become hot and hotter in every minutes. This condition doesn't consider as serious treat before. But after one by one members of Federation call off their membership and prefer to stand alone in the quadrant, the power of Federation colaps. And right wing extrimist start to raise in power in Federation.
Before everybody know about it, the extrimist successed in their attempt to rule the Starfleet and Federation. Thus declare state of emergency to all federation teritory and send force to give all "rebels" lesson that they will remember forever.
Meanwhile in Betazed, Captain Jeanluc Picard had success in his attempt to keep Betazed's membership in Federation, and plan to go to Vulcan and Andorian to make sure that they will not abandon their membership as well. But after hearing about Starfleet plan to attack the "rebel" or ex-member, he change his plot to earth.
In earth, Vice Admiral Janeaway is forced to retire after her openly protest to the admiral for his unbelieveable decission to attack rebels. She believe that hold negotiation with them will give Federation more benefit rather than attack them with force. So, when she know about Picard, she come to meet him in secret and ask his help to overthrown the extrimist power in Federation.
In other side of the Galaxy, Sisko who joined with Prophet come to an unknown planet in Gamma Quardrant. There, he met a person who he can't believe in his life to find. The legendary James T. Kirk.
At first, Sisko doesn't know that the man who he meet is not the actual James T Kirk who have died in Nexus. But later he know that James T. Kirk who he know is no other than a successful a clone who crated by romulan in order to get benefit from Kirk's capability as captain. And this Kirk was a successful project although his whereabout is always keep secret by Romulan. The reason Kirk come to Gamma Quadrant is because he was part of Romulan - Cardassia fleet who attack Gamma Quadrant in DS9 season 3.
So, the two captains look their way to back to Alpha Quadrant. But when they able to go home, the thing that they found is only civil war that happen in Federation space between Picard - Janeaway fleet versus the extrimist loyalist.
Picard - Janeaway fleet is few in number. They are consist of USS. Enterprise, USS Voyager, USS Titan, several Betazed and Vulcan's starship, and others ex-members who believe in Picard's influence and leadership.
When Sisko and Kirk join with the rebel, Picard invite them to join the cause. With Kirk and Sisko join the cause, the power and spirit of Rebel raise, thus gaining the momentum in War. But when Picard plan to choose Kirk as their leader in the alliance, Sisko know about the truth of Kirk. So, he protest and do everything he can to make the election fail. This make their feel each other ( who have become worst after Wolf 359 become worse and worse again ). Instead of choosing Kirk, Sisko declare that he support Picard as the leader of the alliance. As the old man is the reason why lots of people join their cause. At last, people choose Picard as their leader instead of Kirk ( clone Kirk ). Thus they succeed in their attempt to overthrown the extrimist.
After that Picard is elected as the president of Federation, Janeaway as the head of Starfleet Command, and Sisko command Chief of Security in Federation. While Kirk get his chance to continue his legacy as the captain of Enterprise F, the newest Enterprise in Federation.
