I apologize if this question has been asked before, but has there ever been any official confirmation that Leonard Nimoy is/is not in the upcoming Trek movie?

There is a scene where Spock (as in, Quinto's young Spock) is being lowered into the mouth of a volcano, in a heat-resistant environmental suit.

It was reported in the spring that Nimoy was returning, but this was the same as the first report to claim Cumberbatch is Khan, and we've all seen how that has since spiralled.
