Belated RIP for Leonard Nimoy.
If the Abramsverse continues, Zack Quinto has big shoes to fill. Nimoy bridged the gap between Trek, I think. And, this includes the television shows and movies as well as the online game. Moreover, we saw Spock go through somewhat of an arc throughout the years.
Well, as far as has been reported on the Net, I can see that Zach was the only actor that really committed himself to the role by interacting with Mr. Nimoy a great deal wherein a real life friendship ensued. So, I have great hopes for him in any continued ST films to carry on the spirit of ST. I liked the actor who portrayed SCottie next and thought he 'almost' had it...enough to continue to the next series, anyway. Bones was portrayed fairly well so the Big Four are 3/4 complete. Kirk character was way over the top and looked like a joke,in my estimation...lots of character development needed there for sure.
My wife and I have a bunch of those glow-in-the-dark plastic stars on the wall in our bedroom, small ones and large ones. One of the larger ones fell off the wall. A short time later I was in that state between fully awake and fully asleep and heard a voice say "Leonard needs to come to bed."
Leonard Nimoy would be 84 years old today. I would like to use his birthday to say that for me, at least, thanks to the Fal-tor-pan miracle of Star Trek New Voyages and the artistry of actor Brandon Stacy,
Spock Lives!
Shoulda doubled down, got another one with a paunch to go with.We got a cat, wife named him Nimoy.
He's an ornery little shit, won't sit still for a second. He definitely has the pointed ears.
My wife was a huge fan of Leonard Nimoy and this was her tribute to him.
