Legend of the Seeker-Jolene Blalock

Yay Nicci is blonde!

I kinda liked the performance of the new Nicci. Don't know how much longer she'll be around (I see IMDB lists her for another episode this season). She was closer to book in Nicci in her temperament than Blalock's Nicci. But that may just be the way the writers decided to have the character act.

Still don't see how ANYONE could buy Zedd as a woman though. It was one of those Hercules/Xena cross-dressing ARE YOU KIDDING ME? moments ;)

One problem with the last episode, the King got off light, considering he was gonna execute 2 innocent women and make a deal with the Keeper. Fudging a-hole.

He may have got off light, but it was a hilarious pwnage scene. I was satisfied.

I'm glad Nicci is back but i'll miss Jolene as she was amazing in the role. The new actress, looks more like the Nicci I imagined in the book. (blonde hair at least) but was somewhat boring herself.

And prior to the Easter break we get a freaking clip show to tide us over. Ugh, I'm starting to understand why this show is getting low ratings.

Clip shows, by their very nature, are annoying. But, for a clip show, this one was actually pretty good. More to the point, this episode actually had character and thematic depth, and the clips were used as part of that exploration. There were some issues with the characterization of the Creator (she seemed too strident to me) and her change-of-heart, but otherwise, the story was enjoyable and revealing. Heck, we get to hear the Keeper's voice and learn of the Keeper's history with the Creator.

Good stuff. Not your typical clip show.

But a clipshow right before a break, still not a plus. Also annoying how I keep getting the preview for the next episode even if it's a repeat! Hell, this time, they showed me the "Next time on LotS" bit, and then showed me the preview for the episode where Denna killed Richard. Not only a repeat, but one where the main bad guy has since been killed, PLUS that episode was part of the clip show episode they just finished showing me

Do you think that they want a rating of 0 for their repeats? They advertised it so that you know which ep is on next week, repeat or not.

I couldn't agree more. Easily a very good episode for a clip show. They did a LOT more than most shows do with them.

I can't think of any other shows off the top of my head that do that, however. they always show the preview for the next NEW episode, usually saying "in two weeks, on an all new..."

Making no mention that it's a repeat, and just showing a preview like it's new, is annoying. Especially when it contains dead characters, as well as plot points that the most recent episode just finished recapping for me...

Didn't know this was the ongoing Seeker thread. :techman:

I love how they gave us the back-story on WHY Nicci went dark side and they gave us some depth on WHY the Keeper wants to end all life. Up until these latest episodes I was thinking 'Why does the Keeper want to kill everything anyway? Is he just MUAHAHA evil or what?'

Love this show and hope it finds a new home for Season 3.

The obligatory trial episode and clip show...and they did a trial episode once already this season.

Wasn't bad, though, other than the "forces of good" seem to be as much a threat to our heroes as evil.

"Hanh" can be used up?
