^Actually, there's less reason why the US networks shouldn't open theirs up to the rest of the world since all they'd have to do is show localised advertising.
The only problem is that they have regional contracts with local broadcasters that prevent it.

Oh I know. I just get sick of this whinging BBC open up their stuff abroad when it's not done by anyone else either and they're all commercial so have a reason to open up their stuff to as wide an audience as possible.
Yeah, I was hoping SeeSaw was going to offer something like that, but it turns out they're offering shows a couple of years old at least. Why would I pay to rent them when I could buy them on DVD for around the same price?^Why would piracy be such a problem if we could all watch Hulu legally ? I'd even pay if I got the same service as the Americans do.

Which makes me believe TV will be gone in the next twenty to fifteen years.
And with newer ways to wifi your laptop to your tv you won't have to throw your 47 inch tv out.
