Legal way to watch Who online?

If you have Comcast it is free on demand.
If I wanted to wait that long to see the new episodes, I'll just watch them on BBC America. I want to see them ASAP.

I'm the perfect kind of fan. I watch the episodes online when they come out. Then I watch the BBC America broadcast, then I go and buy the DvDs.

I would pay the BBC money if they let me watch Who over the internet. I wouldn't mind - especially if the money went towards Who production.

There has been talk of an international iPlayer paid service, but I don't know if it ever came to anything or if it's still in development.

Yeah I'd pay to watch on the BBC website...I pretty much watch television on my notebook anyways. I don't have cable in my room currently and don't watch that much TV in the first place.

Imagine the extra budget the Beeb could raise for the show with hundreds of thousands of Who fans paying a subscription to watch the series in real-time along with the UK broadcast? That's got to be a fourteenth episode, at least... :techman:

Or what if you could download and own it the day it broadcasts, for the same amount you would pay for the single vanilla DVD? Just bundle the episode with the Confidential, and you've got a digital package. Even Classic Who could be offered like this, but it would be much more expensive, given the runtime, and extras...

I believe they are available on Amazon.com for $1.99 per episode SD, $2.99 for HD. They are released on the BBC America schedule (though I don't know how long it takes after BBC America airing for the episode to be uploaded), so about 2 weeks behind the UK.

I'm in the US so can't watch it on the BBC who site. I actually don't have BBC America as a channel I can watch but for some reason my On Demand service allows me to watch it even though it's not a part of my current tier of channels as I'm not going to pay for that extra tier when it's for only one channel, BBCA, and two shows, Who and Torchwood, for the price of the extra tier. Every once in a while my On Demand service doesn't put an episode in there on all the On demand services. Happens most often with NBC and BBCA.

Well Torchwood won't be on there from next series either, Starz are co-producing and airing it. Looks like your only options might be illegal download, iTunes or apparently Amazon.

Thanks.. I was pretty sure that was the case but wanted to make sure and knew if anybody would know an obscure not well known legal way that existed that I could find it here. Guess I'll have to netflix them eventually.

daily motion(s?)) is a poor man's Youtube which has almost he entire classic series on streaming mp4 which it is not impossible to extricate. They seem to have most of the new stuff as well.

If youtube is legal then so is this.

The butchering that hour long British shows go through to be viewed on North American TV is annoying and makes me avoid watching them. I rarely watch a movie on television either.

I am of a like mind. All they have to do is open up a subscription option on their website.

Ugh...I watched End of Time part 2 on BBC America after I saw the complete unedited version and the commercial breaks during the final 20 minutes leading up to the regeneration just completely screw up the emotional impact of 10 visiting all those companions again.

And the one-hour renditions of both Journey's End and The Eleventh Hour cut out some of the best (and in TEH's case, important) bits of both...
