Legacies: Captain to Captain cover revealed

^ Thanks! The embiggening was great. Unfortunately, with the weird transparency they've got going on, I'm still not sure how I'm supposed to interpret it. I guess the buildings/structures are real/solid, and the natural parts of the environment (trees, mountains) are fake/illusory/holographic?

@Dimesdan

What Defcon said:
A trilogy is unlikely due to low numbers of sales. Next TOS novel to be published in German is The Shocks of Adversity. Alas, not one of my favorites.

The description of the plot involves parallel universes. Maybe this is a superimposition of the same place in two realities.

Or maybe it's just that the art style is deliberately non-realistic.

I had assumed it was just that we were supposed to being seeing the buildings through the leaves, but looking at the bigger version I see that the trunks of the trees and the mountain are also transparent, so I guess that isn't the case.

Thanks, that explanation makes sense. I hadn't read the blurb because I didn't want to accidentally spoil anything from book one.

This must be about to ship soon. Don't books normally appear two weeks before their official release date?

It will be at the top of the pile of books beside my bed when it does. ;)

lol. This book seems to be one of the most anticipated this year. Must be exciting for you. :)

Thanks! It was a fun project, collaborating with Dave and Dayton and Kevin on the trilogy. I'll be curious to hear what people think of the final result.

I'm curious, Greg -- Does Pocket also send you complimentary copies of Dave and Dayton's books in the trilogy?

You know, I hadn't thought of that. Technically, my contract only obligates them to send me copies of my own book, but, just to be clear, I'm sure it won't be hard to get a couple copies of the sequels as a courtesy. We're all friends here.

As a practical matter, each of the books is covered by a different contract since we don't all have the same agents.

Thanks for the answer. I hadn't thought of the agent thing, but that makes sense. I just thought that this might be covered since presumably their books will pick up on some plot threads for your book.

I'll be honest..... I might buy this when all three novels are released. I'm simply not a big TOS fan. This trilogy intrigues me sofar, but I'm not that excited just yet.
