Legacies: Captain to Captain cover revealed

Hey Greg, are you going to be at any signing events anywhere around the Midwest this summer? I would love to get a physical copy of this novel and get your signature on it, 50th anniversary of Star Trek and all.

I just got an email telling me that this been dispatched from the UK to me in Ireland, so the book is making it's way into the world. I should have it by the weekend.

Alas, no immediate plans for any conventions in the Mid-West at the moment. I need to stay home and write! :)

Hey @Greg Cox I just started, and just wanted to say, Great Job on Number One's name. Very nice :techman:

I cannot tell a lie. That was Dave Mack's idea.

But glad you're enjoying the book so far! Although we each wrote our own books, the trilogy is very much a collaborative affair. We're talking lots of emails flying back and forth at every stage of the project.

I haven't read any of the TOS books for a while, but I'm really excited about this trilogy. I'm also (I know, so shocking, with my signature you'd never guess) kind of a continuity nerd. Greg - are there any other recent TOS releases that it'd be fun to read before this, so as to catch any offhand references? I know that I don't have to, I'm just curious if it would be neat if I did.

Not really. It's mostly based in the continuity of the original TV show, taking place during Season Two, and referencing the events of "Errand of Mercy" and "Journey to Babel."

As to recent novels, Number One (Pike's first officer) recently appeared in my Pike-era novel, CHILD OF TWO WORDS, and she returns in this book, but there's no direction connection between the two stories, since CAPTAIN TO CAPTAIN takes place several years later.

Hi Greg. The book has reached me in Ireland. Read the first two chapters. This is going to be fun.

And kudos to the team for agreeing on the new name. ;)

Apparently there are some in L.A. as well - I have one on hold for me which I probably won't be able to pick up until tomorrow or Saturday (dammit).

Chapters.ca shows stock in stores around me, which is usually a good bet that they're on the shelf. I'm primarily a Kindle user, so it's having to wait until next week for me.
