Least favorite character

Ensign
Has to be Wesley Crusher. I couldn't stand his character. The kid was a punk. All attitude. And they make him "acting ensign" of the federation flagship? Seriously? Why not make Barclay first officer? They should have shown some junior officers giving him grief in every episode as a running bit.

Troi: Just a pointless character.
Beverly: Shrill. Couldn't stand her.
Wesley: Annoying know-it-all.

Wesley. He just rubbed me the wrong way and seemed so Mary-Sueish. Nothing against Wil Wheaton though. I liked Stand by Me...

Least to most (regs and semi-regs):

Tasha
Beverly
Geordi
Wes
Pulaski
Data
Picard
Troi
Ro Laren
Worf
Riker

Captain Edward Jellico

 He was such a stubborn, overbearing, arrogant asshole...and that's why I thought he was AWESOME! For me, the way he alienated, disrespected, abused, and ignored the feelings and opinions of the whole crew was hilarious and made me like him.

I like the whole regular cast. Like someone else said, I think what's more irritating about Wesley was the way he was constantly used as a plot device to save the ship. As a character, I found him likable. He was a bit of a square, but overall a kind, smart, good-natured kid. I enjoyed his romances with Salia and Lefler, and not just because the girls were so sweet...I give him credit for helping to make them as enjoyable as they were. I agree that the First Duty really demonstrated what a good person he was.

Two characters I couldn't stand were the Pakleds in that episode where they imprison Geordi on their ship while Picard is away having surgery. Every time they spoke about how they're "smart", I wanted to beat them to death. I felt like throwing something at the television. I'm so glad those characters were never re-visited. Another one-time character I can't stand is Q2, but I made a whole thread to rant about that, so I won't go into my objections to him again here.

I didn't like Pulaski and Troi much either. Pulaski was just too stuffy, preachy, and bland, and Troi tended to get overemotional to the point where it was grating sometimes. I also thought her counseling methods tended to be really lazy and unconvincing, basically just asking people "how do you FEEL"? She wasn't all bad, though...she was quite the looker, she had some nice comedic moments, and I liked the humour and affection she showed in some of her interactions with Picard, Riker, Worf, and Data.

My least-favorites would be Troi, Dr. Crusher, Dr. Pulaski, O'Brien, LaForge, or Yar (I found them all quite boring :()

Wesley and Riker are somewhere in the middle.

My favorites would be Picard, Data, Ro, and Worf.

He should've been on the "favorite villain" list! :D

You are smart! ;)

I didn't like Pulaski and Troi much either.
I would've been happy if Troi had...oooh, I just got a mean fanfic idea!...:devil::devil::devil:

Wesley is always cringe-worthy. Troi has some good moments, but she has so many embarrassingly bad scenes. Floating around on a string yelling "WHERE ARE YOU? WHERE ARE YOU?????"... no thanks.

I don't think anyone is particularly bad but for least fave...
I would have to say its a tie between Pulaski and Troi.

Pulaski was bad...a third-rate stand in for a second-rate regular

I wont say Wesley because that's obvious...

I will get flack for this, but I didn't like Guinan...her character was fine, but Whoopi Goldberg has turned into such a shrill, overbearing know-it-all, I can no longer separate the two...

Most likely target of a probable mutany in the history of Starfleet
Those who have been in the Military on this board and those who have connections to it have a different opinion of Edward Jellico, Riker was an A** in that ep.

Pulaski, for two related reasons:

Reason 1: Her conception amounted to something like self-plagiarism. They tried to make a Leonard McCoy with ovaries. This alone wouldn't be enough to make her my least favorite TNG character (and some might even argue it was to her credit), but for

Reason 2: When they created Pulaski, they must have been thinking that the Bones/Spock dynamic was something vital to the success of TOS. They would be right. Unfortunately, when they tried to replicate it with Pulaski as a stand-in for McCoy and Data as a stand-in for Spock, they took the usually good-spirited quasi-racism McCoy needled Spock with and turned it into Pulaski's deeply harbored belief that Data wasn't even a person. In virtually every scene between them, Pulaski comes off not as McCoy's lighthearted provacteur but a Goddamn Nazi. Doctor Pulaski? More like Doctor Mengele.

What was worse was that no one ever told her to just shut her carbon-chauvinist, narrow-minded mouth, at least so I recall. I can't name the episode, but there's a bit where she is really just being incredibly insulting to Data's sapient dignity, and Picard just sits there and lets her do it. I was disgusted by every moment of that scene. Wish I could remember the episode.

It wasn't just Riker, I don't see that he got along with anybody. Plus why would he implement a major change like going from two to three shifts without adequate time for the crew to adjust?

I am certainly not going to commend his tactic of appearing "crazy" in front of the Cardassians as some sort of brillant negotiating tactic either.

Hopefully he died in the Dominion War or retired.
