Latest gas prices where you are thread

It's down to $2.83 today, which is the lowest it's been in a loooong time. I live in NY.

I love election season...

It's at $1.95 a gallon at the station by work.
That's pretty awesome.

I paid $2.29 today.

Gas prices are crazy. I started driving 8 years ago, and the very first time I filled up my tank I remember paying $0.89

The fluctuation since then has been unbelievable.

You're not kidding.

I remember before the first "shortage" in the mid 1970's, paying $.33 per gallon.

Lowest I've seen here in Silicon Valley this week is about $2.66. Of course, I haven't checked yet today and I live a block from the cheapest gas (Arco) in the valley.

I paid $2.65 today on my way home. The price pre gallon of gas that I saw today on my way to and from work was $2.65 to $2.90. And thats within less then 8 miles of each other.

With the cost of oil at $66 dollars per barrel the cost of gas should be closer to the one dollar mark. I guess it's just a pipe dream. Soo sorry or the Neroonism!

The cheapest price I recall paying before gas prices went up (BEFORE the Bush administration) was 0.97 cents.

In 2002 I was doing a lot of driving for work and the cheapest gas I saw was $.79 a gallon!!! It wasn't that long ago. Oil was under $40 a barrel.

Today I saw gasoline for $2.15 a gallon at a Thornton's. I hope it's still that cheap next week when it's time for me to fill my car up.
