OPEC scumbags are unhappy with falling prices
http://www.reuters.com/article/businessNews/idUSTRE49B0S120081012 TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran will ask for an oil output cut at an OPEC emergency meeting scheduled for mid-November in Vienna, Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari told an Iranian newspaper. "At this meeting our country's request to cut production ... will be submitted," Nozari was quoted as saying by the Poul daily. "It seems that if OPEC does not take a major decision to confront falling oil prices, investment conditions in the oil industry would be faced with a serious danger."

I'm seeing about $3.09 in my neck of the woods. I'm hoping it will at least dip below $3.00

P.S. OPEC can suck it. They're just going back to the way things were two years ago and aren't losing squat. (Unless they really were dumb enough to start viewing $100 a barrell as the norm.)

And if Iran doesn't shut the fuck up, they might start getting attention they don't want to get. Armed attention, BTW.

$3.27 in Washington Co., Indiana. I'm expecting better prices in Floyd Co. when I go back to work tomorrow, though, and will fill up there.

I already checked that, thanks, and yes, the gas prices ARE better. Right now anyway. But given how gas prices can fluctuate within hours, I'm not going to blindly think that a price at 7:30pm on Monday to necessarily be the same at 7:30am Tuesday when I drive into work or at 4:30 when I leave. It may be even better. It may go back up some. Hell, I may wake up tomorrow and find that prices are better here in my hometown.

I paid 97.9 a litre this evening. I can't remember when it was this (relatively ) low.

Yeah, it just dropped below a dollar per liter in Ottawa too. Amazing to see. I just got gas at 96.9 the other night. Of course, it's always ten cents more in Montreal. Not that that matters, since I don't have a car or drive at home.

For you americans, if I did the math right, CAN$0.96/liter comes out to about US$3.25/gallon.

$2.97 Here is Cheyenne, WY!!! It's dropped almost a full dollar in the past 2-3 weeks, and it's been dropping at least 5 cents a day since last Wednesday or Thursday. Exciting stuff. :D

I put 20-gallons of 10% ethanol in my truck yesterday (26-gallon tank) for $50.05!!!!! Damn, that was an awesome feeling.
