latest DVD purchases

Within the last 3 weeks, I've bought...
The Cotton Club
Doctor Who
"Pyramids of Mars," "The Horror of Fang Rock," & "City of Death"
Doctor Who Series 1 & 2
Popeye (with Robin Williams & Shelley Duvall)
A Prairie Home Companion
Stargate SG-1
Season 9
V for Vendetta 2-disc special edition
and a $1.99 DVD with all of the old Superman cartoons from the 1940s

Thanks to the sales going on right now at Deep Discount DVD I ordered some blind buys the other day:
Gangs of New York
The Ice Harvest
Van Helsing
Casino
All Quiet on the Western Front
and Warioware Smooth Moves for the Wii.
All of the DVDs were either $5.99 or $6.28, a great price for blind buys. I may actually order a few more before the sale ends this week.

Where I work there is a DVD box set for $40 that has several Oscar winners, including American Beauty, Braveheart, Forrest Gump, Terms of Endearment, & Titanic.

I used the Fry's Electronics advert to pick up both The Full Monty - Fully Exposed Edition and Revenge of the Nerds - Panty Raid Edition for $9.99 each at Wal-Mart.

And I gotta say, these two movies have the worst box art ever. Monty is just a bright green box with four "naked" guys and red banner title and Nerds is a bright yellow box with Lewis holdin' up a pair of panties with the Tri-Lam symbol on it.

I just bought "The Searchers" (A John Wayne classic) and "The Departed" on Blu-ray. My first high def format DVDs. Woo-hoo!

EXCELLENT choices my friend. Ford and Scorsese...you don't get much better than that.

That's a great price, but you forgot to say where you work.
