Latest acquisition!

Waypoint is doing a Phase II comic? That's kinda awesome. Now I almost wish they were doing a whole "alternate timeline" Phase II ongoing series.

Although I guess I should actually read this to see if it's any good, first... ;)

OK, now I've read the issue, and... I do actually want an on-going Phase II comic. Start with adapting the original scripts/outlines created for Phase II, and then go on to original stories when those run out.

I know it'll probably never happen, but I can dream! :D

i'm running out of space...

Still have Q² and Rise Like Lions to add to this, and well, Titan #5 which I'm off to go and pick up from Godert Walter. I have no more space for my commics left...

I got my copy of Enterprise Patterns of Interference .I've been waiting along time to get this book.

Recently got the newest Rise of the Federation novel.

Also, I've been watching through the earliest ST TOS episodes, and became curious about the long friendship between Gary Mitchell and Kirk, and the earlier Enterprise crew as seen in the second pilot Where No Man Has Gone Before, and resolved to look in on Michael Jan Friedman's My Brother's Keeper Trilogy. Happily, a few days later I found all three in the bookstore. I almost snagged a collection of the Vanguard novels that were also there, but I have an awful lot of other books, ST and other, waiting to be read.

SPX To Boldy Quiz
by Ian McLean, on Flickr

Someone in the UK told me how a bonus Star Trek quiz book and an Ortiz "Datalore" (TNG) poster print were included with bagged UK editions of SFX magazine #291. I couldn't stand not having a Trek book that didn't get Australian distribution, so I went haunting eBay.

The book includes 1000 trivia questions from TOS to "Star Trek Beyond". Note the question mark pattern on the Starfleet uniform shirt!

The fifth IDW "Star Trek: New Visions" omnibus of photocomic reprints by John Byrne (featuring "Swarm", "The Hidden Face", "Sam" and the Humble Bundle exclusive Gorn story, now reprinted, "More of the Serpent Than the Dove", plus a "making of..." prologue by Byrne, "Pieces of the Action", explaining why he enjoys creating photomontage comics) and the latest "Star Trek Magazine", this one focusing on "Star Trek: Discovery".

Used an Amazon digital gift card I got for my brithday and got myself the Kindle versions of Crisis of Consciousness and From History's Shadow.
Crisis of Conciousness was only $2.99 and I really liked Dave Galanter's other TOS book Trouble Minds, so I figured I'd check it out. From History's Shadow is one I've been wanting to read for a while now, and it's connection to Hearts and Minds pushed it up my to read list quite a bit once it came out.

New Trek

Spock drink holder; "My Little Pony" comic with TMP poster homage cover; and Serbian translations of Marvel's "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" spin-off comics, found recently on eBay. "Strip 81" issue 7.ii 1981 contains b/w art from the movie adaptation (from Spock's arrival to his neck pinch of the airlock technician), 16 pages of the 84-page booklet, and "Strip 82" issue 24.x 1982 contains b/w art from Marvel #7, "Tomorrow or Yesterday", 21 pages of the 84-page booklet.

A few of the "Vanguard" series are difficult to obtain.

I got the impression that Reap the Whirlwind became pricey, but I bought that one fairly new. Is it still very expensive? I ended up going back and getting the the four books I didn't have. Which other ones have become more rare?

It varies, Amazon has the POD version for $25.52, the MMPB ranges from $6.69 - $82.33 on the Amazon Marketplace, and the e-book is $15.99.
